TRUMP Eric Trump firmly denies rumors about cryptocurrencies
Eric Trump firmly denies claims that U.S. President Donald Trump is about to launch a new cryptocurrency. In response to comments on social media suggesting Trump would release new coins, Eric Trump made it clear that there were no such plans and warned investors to beware of potential scams.
An account called "Whale Scan" posted a post on the X platform claiming that Donald Trump was "about to officially launch his new coin," and the post received nearly 2 million views. Eric Trump quoted the post in response: "What a joke... it's definitely not true. No one wants to issue any coins. If anyone says that, it's a scam."
The rapid spread of this rumor on social media is also related to the Trump family's previous token projects in the cryptocurrency field. A few days before his second presidential inauguration in January 2025, Donald Trump launched the "Official Trump"(TRUMP) memin on the Solana network. With a total supply of 1 billion coins, the coin attracted a lot of speculative interest after its launch and quickly became one of the most watched assets in the cryptocurrency market.
Following Trump, Melania Trump also announced the launch of her own memin coin,"MELANIA". As a result, the Trump family has become the two most important cases of memoin trends directly related to politicians. Although these two tokens experienced significant price fluctuations in their early stages, they have remained at the center of controversy, especially over issues such as token allocation, the advantages that internal investors may enjoy, and the intertwining of political influence and crypto assets.
