U.S. President Donald Trump's crypto empire has grown into one of its largest publicly disclosed sources of revenue. The president's private business venture echoes his declared policy goal of making the United States the "crypto capital of the world." It turns out that these investments are also quite profitable. Trump's 2025 annual financial disclosure report was released on June 30 by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, showing that his revenue comes from World Liberty Financial, Trump-branded minicoin activities and other crypto-related entities. Reuters pointed out that Trump reported income from home crypto venture investments of approximately $1.4 billion. "This disclosure lists more than a billion in crypto revenue generated by World Liberty Financial and TRUMP tokens," Daniel Newman, CEO of The Futurum Group, told Business Insider. Here is a detailed breakdown of all known crypto venture investments by Trump (and his family) and their relationships with each business.
World Liberty Financial is Trump's flagship crypto business. The company was launched in September 2024 and Trump was listed as an "honorary co-founder," according to Time magazine. The project sells WLFI governance tokens and also launches a dollar-backed stablecoin USD1. Reuters and Time magazine said Trump's revenue from World Liberty Financial in 2025 will be approximately US$800 million, including more than US$500 million in WLFI token sales. According to Reuters, Trump authorized his name and image to World Liberty in an agreement that 75% of token sales revenue would be transferred to DT Marks DEFI LLC, an entity associated with the Trump family. As for World Liberty's expansion into the stablecoin space, its USD1 tokens in circulation reached approximately US$4.6 billion in mid-June, CoinDesk reported. At the same time, subsidiary WLTC Holdings applied to the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in January for a national trust bank license, covering the issuance, redemption and custody of USD1.
The second pillar is Trump's memin business. The business is centered around the "Official Trump"(TRUMP) token, which was launched shortly before the president returns to the White House in January 2025. Disclosures show that Trump-related entity CIC Digital LLC has generated more than $600 million in revenue from Trump-branded minocoin activities, mainly from royalty payments. Time magazine also reported that CIC Digital holds at least $60 million in cryptocurrency in digital wallets.
stablecoins and open markets
Trump's stablecoin interests are not limited to USD1. According to Time magazine, its disclosure also listed more than $196 million from the sale of a stake in Stablecoin Holdco, which constitutes another source of revenue related to stablecoins. World Liberty has also stepped into the open market. Reuters reported that ALT5 Sigma (later renamed AI Financial) raised $750 million in 2025, of which $717 million was used to purchase World Liberty tokens.
US Bitcoin
Trump family's crypto footprint extends to Bitcoin mining business. Bitcoin USA is a mining and treasury company backed by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. According to Reuters, the company was formed by merging Hut 8's mining business with U.S. Data Center, a company backed by the Trump brothers. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Bitcoin in the United States holds more than 8000 bitcoins, making it one of the growing number of companies that act as both bitcoin miners and corporate treasurers.
Policy overlap
Trump's crypto business has expanded amid widespread policy shifts in Washington. Since returning to the White House, Trump has signed executive orders to promote digital assets and created the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the U.S. Digital Asset Reserve. His administration also supported the GENIUS Act, which established a federal framework for dollar-backed stablecoins. The White House dismissed concerns about conflicts of interest, saying: "All actions by President Trump and his administration are based on the best interests of the American people."
