CZ blasts memes that rub their own name

Wallet full of sundries

Binance founder Zhao Changpeng (@cz_binance) recently sent a batch of unsolicited BNB Chain Meme coins to the destruction address again, permanently withdrawing them from circulation. Traders on BNB Chain quickly interpreted the move, and some believed it reflected Zhao Changpeng's attitude towards the entire Meme coin market. Zhao Changpeng's response was as straightforward as ever: the matter was not that profound.

According to transactions marked by online analyst Ai Yi, the three tokens destroyed this time are QUQ, SIREN and BNBCARD, with valuations of approximately US$305,000, US$142,000 and US$43,000. Zhao Changpeng confirmed that the cleanup was intentional and explained that his public donation address had received thousands of unsolicited tokens-projects hoping to gain exposure or associate themselves with the industry figure.

Digital housework, not market signals

Zhao Changpeng's explanation is simple and clear. He opened a wallet that he hadn't checked for a long time and found that more than 10,000 tokens were jammed in it, so he emptied it. He described the decision as "nothing more than a digital chore" and denied that there was any strategic or symbolic meaning behind the destruction.

He also warned those project parties who are trying to repeat the same trick: the donation wallet is only used to store BNB tokens, and any tokens sent to this address in the future may be sold on the open market without being destroyed. Zhao Changpeng's statement is not only a clarification of the situation, but also a warning to project parties who use unsolicited airdrop tokens as a marketing tool.

This model is not new. The small-scale Memecoin project has long targeted the wallets of well-known crypto figures to gain attention. This is not the first time Zhao Changpeng has cleared his address. Considering the speed at which new tokens are minted on BNB Chain, this may not be the last time.
