Vlad.fun suspends operations due to internal integrity issues
Vlad.fun, a Robinhood Chain based miniin launch platform, has suspended operations after reporting a "serious internal integrity issue" involving team members.
Operations suspended
Vlad.fun suspended operations after discovering internal integrity issues involving team members. The platform is investigating suspected misconduct while consulting legal counsel on possible measures against the people involved. Although Robinhood Chain focuses on tokenized finance, its early growth was mainly driven by memin transactions.
The project said it had taken the platform offline while investigating the matter and consulting with legal counsel. The team has not disclosed the nature of the acts involved or identified any persons involved. Vlad.fun said in its official statement that appropriate action will be taken based on the results of the investigation.
Platform offline
Vlad.fun said that the problem was discovered when the platform was launched and involved team members. The project said it would not "underplay" and suspended operations while the review incident passed. It has not been stated whether user funds, token contracts or other parts of the platform have been affected.
Hours before announcing the suspension, the project also warned users that a token bearing the name Vlad.fun and appearing on its leaderboards was not an official token. The team reminded traders through its official account that its launch platform is unlicensed and allows anyone to create tokens. Vlad.fun has not stated whether the token warning is related to an internal investigation.
Robinhood Chain's background to the memin craze
Robinhood launched its public blockchain mainnet, an Ethereum Layer 2 network built based on Arbitrum technology, on July 1. The network is designed to support the 24-hour trading of tokenized physical assets, decentralized financial applications and stock tokens.
However, memin trading quickly became the main source of activity. Recent analysis found that Robinhood Chain's trading volume in the first week of launch was approximately US$570 million, while liquidity was approximately US$21.68 million, with speculative memin activity driving most of the trading volume.
Galaxy Digital also reported that memin has become the most active application case in the early days of the network. Trading volume soared to more than $560 million on July 8 as tokens such as CASHCAT attracted more users and liquidity into the new network.
Launch platform disruption raises concerns
Vlad.fun was not the first launch platform to experience operational disruption in Robinhood Chain's early development. Previously, NOXA also went offline after becoming the main token launch platform on Robinhood Chain. Its associated tokens continue to be traded on the chain, while the website remains inaccessible.
The two situations are different. NOXA attributed its disruption to Cloudflare issues, while Vlad.fun alleged internal integrity issues involving team members and said lawyers had been consulted. There is currently no public evidence that the two incidents are related.
Investigation leaves key questions
Vlad.fun has not provided a timetable for completing the survey or restoring the platform. It also did not disclose whether the issues involved involved token issuance, team wallets, trading activities, platform visits or other operational aspects.
Currently, the project's announcement remains the main source of information about the shutdown. Users are waiting for more details on the scope of the investigation and possible legal action. The suspension comes at a time when Robinhood Chain is expanding rapidly, and memin trading played a major role in its early activities.
