Vlad.fun suspends operations: Internal integrity issues discovered
Robinhood Chain's Memecoin distribution platform Vlad.fun has suspended operations after discovering "serious integrity issues" within its team.
The project said on Wednesday that it had taken the platform offline while investigating the incident and consulting with legal advisers about possible action against those responsible. Vlad.fun did not disclose specific details of the alleged misconduct.
Hours before announcing the shutdown, Vlad.fun warned users that a token named after the platform name appeared on its leaderboard was not an official token, and reminded traders that anyone could create a token on an issuance platform that does not require permission. The project did not state whether there was a connection between the two incidents.
Robinhood launched Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum based Ethereum second-layer network focusing on tokenized stocks, real-world assets and on-chain financial services on July 1. According to Galaxy Digital, within a few days of launch, Memecoin became the network's main application scenario.
