Brain (BRAIN) token skyrockets due to Coinbase CEO avatar change

A new memecoin based on the Base blockchain--Brain (BRAIN) saw a significant spike in price after Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong changed his social media avatar. Investors interpreted Armstrong's move as indirect support for the project, causing the token's price to rise sharply in a short period of time, with its market value topping $30 million at one point.

Based on market data, BRAIN's total market cap subsequently declined slightly, stabilizing at approximately $20.14 million. Despite this, the token achieved one of the most impressive performances of the day, gaining more than 3800% in the last 24 hours.

The main reason for the price increase is believed to be Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong replacing his social media avatar with an image similar to the Brain token symbol. Despite the lack of official statements of support, investors still view the change as a positive sign. In the cryptocurrency market, especially for memecoin projects, social media interactions and postings by well-known people can often have a significant impact on price movements.

Brain is one of the projects that adopts the new B20 token standard introduced in the latest update to Base Network. This technology infrastructure is designed to facilitate the development of next-generation token projects within the Base ecosystem.

According to online data, there are approximately 8850 wallet addresses holding BRAIN tokens. In addition, the top 10 wallets hold 12.68% of supply. This distribution indicates that the holding structure of the token is relatively concentrated.

Analysts stressed that such sharp gains in the memecoin market are accompanied by high volatility and could see significant price fluctuations in the short term. Experts point out that price changes originating from social media do not necessarily mean lasting growth in value. Therefore, investors should comprehensively consider the project's technical infrastructure, liquidity and risk factors before trading, rather than relying solely on sentiment or speculation.
