On-chain analytics firm BubbleMaps reports that most mainstream mein traders on Robinhood Chain are losing money.
According to reports, of the 164,538 active traders in the network's top 50 tokens, only 37% achieved profits, and the remaining 63% suffered losses.
Can traders make money on Robinhood Chain?
On-chain analysis company BubbleMaps wrote on platform X: "Robinhood's battlefield is extremely cruel" and described the memin market as "a difficult game."
Robinhood Chain is a two-layer blockchain based on Arbitrum Orbit technology. It is built on Ethereum to reduce costs and will be officially launched on July 1, 2026. However, of the 164,538 active traders in the network's top 50 tokens, only 37% achieved profits, and the remaining 63% suffered losses.
The token CASHCAT (CASHCAT), based on Robinhood's old cat mascot, surged 718% in intraday trading on July 8, with a market value of US$68 million-at the time Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev publicly expressed optimism about the memin on the network. However, the token has continued to fall since then.
The current trading price of the token is approximately US$0.0557, down about 75% from the all-time high of US$0.2252 set on July 11. The market value is approximately US$55.7 million and the number of holders is approximately 4840. According to reports, CASHCAT held approximately 25,000 wallets on July 13, and its market value at that time was close to US$150 million.
Is the decline in Robinhood Chain's meme price a collective sell-off?
In addition to counting profits and losses, BubbleMaps also conducted a distribution check on individual tokens and found that there was no obvious agglomeration of large households in CASHCAT, and the ownership distribution was relatively scattered. The few aggregation addresses that appeared in the early stages of the token issuance have all been cleared. Inspection showed that CASHCAT's losses stemmed from normal price fluctuations rather than concentrated chip selling.
In contrast, CASHDOG is marked as heavily bundled tokens. BubbleMaps pointed out that its holders received funds through one-time contracts, implying a coordinated layout rather than natural buying.
Robinhood is currently providing Gas fee subsidies for wallet transactions for the first 90 days to attract more users. This incentive, coupled with CASHCAT's enthusiasm, allowed the chain's decentralized exchange to reach US$3.1 billion in seven days. Other meme tokens such as Wen Lambo, Tendies and Hoodrat followed closely. DeFiLlama data showed that as of last Saturday, the total value of locked positions in the chain was approximately $227 million.
Robinhood's chain originally built to issue tokenized stocks has attracted far less attention than expected, and the market value of tokenized stocks on its network is only US$12.66 million. At its peak, the market value of the CASHCAT token alone was twelve times that figure.
The industry is watching whether activity along the chain can remain stable once the Gas subsidy expires at the end of September and traders begin to bear the costs themselves.
