Shiba Inu's pressure intensifies, bearish indicators suggest more losses

Weak on-chain activity and declining investor interest continue to put pressure on SHIB prices.

The low on-chain activity, coupled with fading investor enthusiasm, still puts pressure on SHIB prices. Bearish derivatives data suggests traders expect the meme to decline further. Technical indicators suggest that the SHIB could retest annual lows before any substantial rebound occurs.

Shiba Inu has recently returned to market view, but this is not a reason that holders are happy to see. Recent price trends reflect the increasing pressure on sellers and the difficulty for buyers to regain the initiative. A number of technical indicators and on-chain data show that demand is weakening, and the derivatives market has also sent caution signals. Coupled with growing geopolitical uncertainty, the current situation suggests that unless market sentiment improves in future trading hours, SHIB will remain under pressure.

Weak on-chain activity and pressure from derivatives data SHIB

After falling for four consecutive days, SHIB trading prices have fallen below US$0.0000042. Selling pressure has persisted since being blocked near key resistance levels last week. Bulls have not been able to attract enough buying to achieve an effective rebound. Current market conditions are favorable to sellers and momentum continues to decline. Investor participation has also weakened. Sanitation's social dominance indicator has fallen sharply since hitting a recent high on July 12, and the current reading is close to the level seen earlier this month.

Reduced social activity usually reflects reduced trader interest, and such behavior often weakens the buying momentum of speculative assets. The derivatives market is showing a similar picture: the long-short ratio is currently 0.91, and a value below 1 means more traders are expecting prices to fall. Short positions have steadily increased in recent trading days, a trend that highlights the growing confidence of short sellers. The funding rate remains negative, with current data showing-0.0136%, and short traders continue to pay long positions fees. Such situations usually occur when pessimism dominates futures markets. Combined with weak social activity, derivatives data further strengthened the market's expectations for further downside.

Technical indicators imply further downside risks

Daily price movements continue to support the bearish outlook. SHIB has fallen more than 5% in recent trading days. The price failed to break through the downtrend line that has been suppressing the market since mid-May, and after another obstruction, the seller quickly regained control. The next important support level is near the annual low, around $0.000040. Continued selling could push prices closer to that level, and buyers must hold on to this support to prevent another sharp decline. Once the region falls, it may trigger a new round of selling pressure.

The kinetic energy indicator is also biased towards the short side. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) currently reads 31 and continues to decline, approaching oversold territory, while confirming weakening momentum. The Moving Average Convergence and Divergence Indicator (MACD) is also close to forming a dead fork, and such signals often reinforce downward trends in prices. Despite the current weakness, a rebound is still possible if buying demand returns. A stronger rebound may push SHIB to resistance near $0.000044, and bulls must regain the area before market sentiment improves. Until then, the seller still has the advantage.

Shiba Inu is facing multiple bearish signals in technical aspects, on-chain data and derivatives markets. Weak investor participation continues to limit attempts at a rebound, and geopolitical uncertainty further undermines market confidence in speculative assets.
