PUMP climbs amid massive transactions
$PUMP, the native token of Solana's memin launch platform Pump.fun, hit a two-month high of US$0.002087 on July 20, an increase of about 13% on the day and about 40% in the past seven days. 24-hour trading volumes surged more than 400% to approximately $237 million, highlighting the broad nature of the trend rather than a brief surge amid thin liquidity.
$PUMP is a native token for Pump.fun. Pump.fun is a Solana-based platform that simplifies the creation and trading process of memecoins.
Pump.fun is a permission-free token launch platform on Solana that allows anyone to create a fully functional meme in less than 60 seconds for only about $2. Since its launch in January 2024, the platform has driven millions of token offerings, reaching billions of dollars in transaction volume, and has become the center of the Solana memein craze.
Ansem discloses PUMP position
Traders pointed out that the catalyst triggering this round was a public disclosure by cryptocurrency trader@blknoiz06 (well-known as Ansem). He revealed his purchase of $PUMP and elaborated on his bullish logic for the launch platform.
Ansem is a cryptocurrency trader, investor and opinion leader mainly active in the Solana ecosystem. He became famous for his early support of Solana and memes such as Dogwifhat and Bonk. He is widely believed to have accurately predicted Solana's rise from about US$8 in 2023 to nearly US$300. His comments often affect market sentiment for Solana Assets in the short term.
The operation came weeks after Ansem's own eponymous token,$ANSEM (The Black Bull), became the much-discussed memecoin in the Solana ecosystem. In late June 2026, a Solana memin called The Black Bull (ANSEM) soared nearly 20,000% in seven days, and its market value started from just tens of thousands of dollars to exceed US$60 million. That rally has rekindled widespread interest in Solana's memin culture, and Ansem's public disclosure of its $PUMP position has injected new impetus into the launch platform's own tokens.
Pump.fun itself remains one of the dominant forces in Solana's chain economy. According to DefiLlama, as of April 2026, Pump.fun's annualized expense revenue reached US$268.83 million, indicating that the platform continues to generate huge expenses after an early period of explosive growth.
Traders will be watching closely whether Ansem's endorsement is enough to sustain the rally, or whether $PUMP will retract gains as the market's attention shifts to the next narrative. As with all meme-related assets, price movements can quickly reverse. This article is for information reference only and does not constitute financial advice.
