Fefer Memecoin surges, Stable Network activity surges

Activity on the chain surged as FEFER gained attention.

@Stablenetwork recorded more than 167,000 transactions in just 24 hours, thanks to a sharp surge in demand for its first memin coin,$FEFER. The surge marks one of the most active periods since the agreement was launched online, and highlights how speculation quickly translates into actual infrastructure pressure on the emerging Layer 1 network.

Stable is a Layer 1 blockchain built specifically for stablecoin transactions, using USDT as the native Gas token. The network is specifically designed for stablecoin transactions and has launched its main network in New York. It also announced the establishment of the Stable Foundation and the launch of its native token STABLE. The project completed a $28 million seed round of funding led by Bitfinex, Hack VC and USDT0, with prominent supporters including Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino and Anchorage CEO Nathan McCauley.

Infrastructure upgrades deployed to cope with traffic peaks

The continued demand for $FEFER prompted the agreement to rapidly advance infrastructure improvements. The team is deploying deeper mobility for cross-chain bridging and is working to enhance RPC performance to accommodate the wave of new players flooding the network.

This response reflects a broader challenge for dedicated chains for stablecoins: speculative activity, especially around meminoin, may generate transaction volumes that match or exceed core payment scenarios, testing the limits of infrastructure designed for different load characteristics. The general public chain prices block space through auction, which means that stablecoin transfers need to compete with memin activities for listing, which may cause sharp fluctuations in fees and disrupt the predictable payment process. Stable's architecture uses USDT as a Gas fee to avoid this dynamic, but the surge in $FEFER has tested this design on a large scale for the first time in real-world scenarios.

The

team has not announced a specific timetable for completing the upgrade, but the response speed suggests that the agreement makes network reliability a priority in an effort to attract both retail and institutional users.
