Robinhood Chain token issuance platform Memecoin.Fun completes US$3.5 million in strategic financing

Robinhood Chain token issuance platform Memecoin.Fun has received US$3.5 million in strategic financing, and the cumulative transaction volume of this network decentralized exchange is close to US$9 billion.

Financing Overview

Memecoin.Fun announced the completion of a US$3.5 million strategic financing led by Becker Ventures. Participants include BitValue Capital, Mason Labs, Negentropy Capital and angel investor Billy Wen. The platform completed the transaction through USDG tokens, but the announcement did not disclose the valuation of Memecoin.Fun or the terms received by investors.

Purpose of funds

Memecoin.Fun plans to use funds to build core products and technology systems, including Robinhood Chain's launch pad infrastructure, cross-chain bridge functions, and platform development and operation that supports multi-blockchain memecoin.

By simultaneously developing launch and cross-chain tools, Memecoin.Fun is entering a market where multiple projects already compete for token creators and traders on Robinhood Chain. The financing announcement did not provide a release timetable for its launch pad, cross-chain bridge or multi-chain products.

Financing goals focus on launch and cross-chain tools

The financing comes as the token issuance platform prepares new products for the recently launched Ethereum Layer 2 network. Robinhood Chain focuses on bringing traditional financial assets into the chain, but early trading is mainly dominated by speculative tokens. According to previous reports, meme coins have accounted for more than 80% of Robinhood Chain's decentralized exchange activity. This concentration allows token issuance platforms to access the most active trading segments of the network, although Robinhood Chain is developing infrastructure for tokenized stocks and other real-world assets.

Another launch platform, Pons, announced its V2 upgrade plan on July 23. The update, expected to be launched next week, will introduce an Ethereum-based binding curve, Uniswap V4 integration, payment of creators in ETH, and trading pairs related to tokenized real-world assets. According to the Pons team, V2 will change the way tokens are issued, traded and transferred to decentralized liquidity pools on Robinhood Chain. However, the contract is still being audited by both partners, and Pons warns that its planning capabilities may change before deployment.

Pons attributed the redesign to feedback collected early in the operation. After several attacks, the team worked with infrastructure partners to stabilize the agreement and said it would continue to develop products for Robinhood Chain traders.

The two platforms have taken different paths in the same emerging market. Memecoin.Fun has received external capital to develop launch pads, cross-chain bridge capabilities and multi-chain support, while Pons is preparing to upgrade around ETH liquidity, Uniswap V4, creator revenue and tokenized asset pairs.

Neither party disclosed comparable data such as number of users, transaction volume, token issuance or revenue. As a result, it is not yet possible to tell which platform has gained more activity or whether its upcoming products will attract sustained liquidity.

Robinhood Chain's activity intensifies competition

According to previous data, Robinhood Chain attracted US$431 million in total lockings and nearly US$400 million in stablecoin market value within three weeks of launch. These numbers provide growing on-chain capital for launch platforms, but most decentralized exchange activity is still associated with meme coins rather than tokenizing real-world assets.

FalconX pointed to further signs of rapid adoption in a research report released Monday. The digital asset brokerage company quoted online data as saying that after Robinhood Chain was launched on its main network on July 1, it processed approximately 6 million transactions every day, with an average of more than 250,000 active users per day.

FalconX also used Artemis data to point out that Robinhood Chain has surpassed Coinbase's Base network in certain activity indicators. The research institute set the cumulative decentralized exchange transaction volume at nearly US$9 billion, indicating that traders have generated a large amount of transaction volume in the early days of online launch. FalconX described Robinhood Chain as one of the busiest blockchains after the main online launch, but did not say how much activity could continue beyond the initial period. Data showed that meme accounted for more than four-fifths of exchange activity, indicating that speculative assets drove most of the early use of the Internet.

For Memecoin.Fun, the financing provides it with the resources to compete for the transaction activity and establish connections with other chains. Its planned cross-chain bridges may allow assets or users to move between different networks, while the full-chain product extends its token issuance model beyond the Robinhood Chain-provided the team can complete the established development.

The announcement did not specify which chains, cross-chain bridge security partners, audit schedules or product deployment dates are supported. These details will determine whether Memecoin.Fun can quickly put $3.5 million in financing into practical use as platforms such as Pons launch competitive tools for Robinhood Chain's growing group of traders and token creators.
