Ripple RLUSD hit a milestone in July: launch of Ripple Mint, AI payments and launch of mainstream exchanges

Ripple's dollar-pegged stable currency RLUSD ushered in one of its strongest months to date in July, with landmark events including major product launches, strategic partnerships, new exchange launches and continued growth in institutional adoption.

Jack McDonald, senior vice president of Ripple's stablecoin business, said that July was a busy month for RLUSD, highlighting the momentum of RLUSD's accelerated development in corporate finance and blockchain payments.

One of the highlights is the launch of Ripple Mint. This is a unified platform that enables organizations to cast, redeem, manage and access RLUSD through a single dashboard or API. The platform is specially designed for banks, payment service providers, financial technology companies and corporate finance teams. It simplifies stablecoin issuance, liquidity management and financial operations, making it smoother for enterprises to adopt it.

Ripple has also strengthened the institutional layout of RLUSD by investing in Notabene, and plans to integrate the stablecoin into Notabene's B2B payment network. The network's annualized transaction processing volume exceeds US$2 trillion. The integration is expected to provide financial institutions and payment service providers with a compliant, blockchain-based settlement option for large-scale cross-border payments.

RLUSD expands into exchanges, AI payments and institutional finance

Enterprise application scenarios expand further: Nuvion integrates RLUSD into its global banking and cross-border payment platforms. This move allows companies to seamlessly switch between traditional banking infrastructure and blockchain payment tracks, while improving settlement speed, liquidity and financial efficiency, consolidating RLUSD's status as an enterprise-level settlement asset.

RLUSD has also significantly expanded global accessibility by launching exchanges such as Mobee, Korbit, Upbit Global and Bithumb, especially providing more access to users in South Korea, one of the world's most active digital asset markets. Expanding exchange coverage is expected to enhance liquidity and adoption rates.

In addition to the traditional financial sector, Ripple also introduced RLUSD into the emerging AI economy by launching the AI Starter Kit. The toolkit supports x402 payment functions based on XRP and RLUSD-allowing autonomous AI agents to pay for APIs, cloud computing and other digital services, allowing RLUSD to adapt to rapidly developing machine-to-machine payment scenarios.

At the same time, Binance, Bybit and OKX have launched new reward programs for RLUSD holders to encourage wider participation and liquidity. Ripple has also deepened its cooperation with Bank of New York Mellon, which recently tested overnight U.S. Treasury settlement backed by RLUSD reserves, highlighting the stablecoin's potential to support all-weather institutional financial markets.

Why is this important?

The milestone achieved in July shows that RLUSD is rapidly moving beyond the scope of traditional dollar-pegged stablecoins. Through enterprise-level infrastructure, institutional partnerships, AI-driven payments and expanding global accessibility, Ripple is positioning RLUSD as a core settlement asset for the next generation of digital finance.
