Trump's Cryptocurrency Wealth: New trends raise Senate concerns
According to reports, former President Donald Trump and his family have accumulated more than $1.4 billion in wealth through various cryptocurrency projects by 2025. Despite the impressive gains, his latest financial report shows that Trump's assets are still mainly invested in more traditional areas such as stocks and bonds.
Gradually change?
Trump's financial strategy reflects a shift to more stable assets. While its digital business generates considerable revenue, financial advisers prefer to invest a large portion of this money in time-tested financial instruments that are known for their relative stability compared to the cryptocurrency market.
Disclosure documents filed with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics show that Trump's sources of income are diversified, including digital assets and traditional securities. It is worth noting that as of the end of 2025, the value of its equity and bond holdings is estimated to have surged to between US$703 million and US$2.6 billion, in sharp contrast to the previous year's range of US$225 million to US$608 million.
An inherent challenge in interpreting these disclosures is that the range of reported values is too broad, sometimes obscuring clear insights into specific asset transfers or specific cryptocurrency sales. Still, the documents reveal the dynamic asset allocation of Trump's personal holdings and his affiliated companies.
Interpretation of Trump's encrypted version
In fact, Trump still maintains important influence in the cryptocurrency field. The former president did not buy shares in public crypto companies linked to his son, and the companies were not mentioned in the latest disclosure. However, reports imply that it holds a large amount of crypto assets through token allocations and related investment projects.
Increased holdings in stocks and bonds suggest a strategic approach to risk mitigation. The large holdings of World Liberty tokens show confidence in crypto-related projects. The growing base of crypto assets demonstrates its enduring interest in digital investment. The ethics declaration, while general, also provides an insightful snapshot of Trump's evolving financial portfolio.
The financial information came as Senate Democrats expressed concerns about possible security issues posed by Trump's crypto transactions. They urged a comprehensive investigation into the impact of foreign donors and investors on the projects. The lawmakers highlighted the national security implications, noting that potential regulatory implications must be carefully reviewed and unknown stakeholders in Trump's crypto investments identified.
