Ripple's XRP custody balance rebounded to 32.4 billion yuan, and public ledger account information update
Attention to Ripple's XRP custody balance on social media is heating up again. XRP community members shared recent data, detailing Ripple's current custody positions, aiming to refute the so-called "outdated and contradictory" data on the Internet.
Community releases current XRP hosting data
X platform user Saul pointed out widespread confusion about the number of XRP hosting. To clarify the facts, he released updated data, showing that Ripple's custody balance totaled 32.4 billion XRP.
To verify this data, Hussein Zangana, Community Director of the XRP Ledger Foundation (X Platform ID: Vet), cited the XRP Ledger browser tool XRPScan. Vet shared a screenshot from XRPScan showing detailed metrics, including the total number of active accounts, destroyed XRPs, hosted XRPs, and circulation supply.
According to XRPScan data, the current total number of XRP active accounts is 8,019,684; the network has destroyed a total of 14,365,934 XRPs; the number of XRPs locked in custody is 32,445,002,702; and the current circulation supply is 67,526,265,430 XRPs.
Key Data Overview
Hosted XRP: 32,445,002,702
Circulation Supply: 67,526,265,430
Active Accounts: 8,019,684
Destroyed XRP: 14,365,934
The latest data from the XRP Ledger browser shows that 32,445,002,702 XRPs are still in custody, 8,019,684 accounts remain active, and 67,526,265,430 XRPs are in circulation.
Ripple improves ledger account transparency
Vet also highlighted Ripple's new measures to improve the transparency of XRP Ledger's operations. In the latest update, Ripple has included all its public operating accounts and addresses in the XRPL toml file on its official website. These details, including the signature of Ripple's own UNL verifier, are now publicly available.
This file lists 20 different XRP escrow accounts (divided into two groups), several validators (only one of which is listed on the distributed unique node list dUNL), and an address of the issuer of RLUSD.
(Note: The XRPL toml file is a management file that lists important network addresses and configuration information of XRP Ledger participants, which helps improve transparency and helps users verify official ledger accounts and validators.)
This update is designed to allow community members and institutional users to independently verify critical Ripple accounts and their functionality on the network.
Progress in stablecoin infrastructure
Ripple is a U.S. company focusing on enterprise blockchain solutions and the issuer of XRP. In the past week, the company has also launched a new platform called "Ripple Mint." Ripple Mint aims to simplify the process for institutions to access, mink, redeem and manage Ripple USD (RLUSD, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar). The tool combines a user-friendly interface and programmatic access to meet automation and integration needs.
In addition, a large institutional payment network with an annual transaction volume of more than US$2 trillion has announced that it has received strategic investment from Ripple. This cooperation is expected to promote the popularization of compliant stablecoin payments and support the extensive integration of RLUSD in global institutional payment systems.
