Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) shares rose 10.08% to US$17.38. Previously, the company announced that its cryptocurrency financial reserves reached US$11.8 billion. The disclosure also showed a significant increase in its Ethereum holdings, while the repurchase program accelerated. Company executives emphasized that continued pledge business and systematic weekly Ethereum acquisitions are core components of its financial reserve management strategy.
The company has strengthened its financial reserves through a large amount of Ethereum accumulation
As of July 26, the company disclosed that it held a total of US$11.8 billion in crypto assets, cash, marketable securities and strategic equity investments. The portfolio includes 5,787,414 Ethereum units and is valued at approximately US$11.3 billion based on Coinbase's reference price of US$1,948 per unit. In addition, the company holds 208 bitcoins, as well as $268 million in cash and securities, supplemented by strategic equity investments worth $241 million.
In the strategic investment category, Bitmine holds a $180 million stake in Beast Industries and a $61 million stake in Eightco Holdings. These equity investments reflect Bitmine's diversified financial reserve strategy, which goes beyond pure digital asset holdings. The company is systematically expanding its balance sheet by simultaneously advancing cryptocurrency acquisitions and strategic equity investments.
According to the company's statement, its current Ethereum position accounts for approximately 4.8% of the total circulation of the token (120.7 million coins). Since the launch of the Ethereum financial reserve strategy on June 30, 2025, the company has maintained a regular weekly purchase of Ethereum. During the most recent reporting period, the company increased its holdings of an additional 9,946 Ethereum units to its financial reserves.
Repurchase program accelerates amid expansion of financial reserves
In the most recent reporting week, Bitmine significantly increased its share repurchase activity, repurchasing 6.1 million shares of common stock. This is an increase from the 5.5 million shares repurchased the previous week. Since July 1, 2026, under the US$4 billion authorized share repurchase program, the cumulative repurchase has reached 11.6 million shares.
Chairman Tom Lee attributed the accelerated repurchase to favorable cryptocurrency market dynamics and improved price comparison between Ethereum and Bitcoin. The company's leadership also mentioned Ethereum's recent price momentum and its technical trend of breaking through key resistance levels. Management emphasized that its systematic weekly Ethereum acquisition strategy will continue to move forward and will not be interrupted by expected changes in legislation related to the Clarity Act.
At the same time, the company has enhanced its pledge capabilities through its institutional MAVAN platform. As of July 26, Bitmine has invested 4,917,189 Ethereum units in pledge activities, with a valuation of approximately US$9.6 billion. This pledge position accounts for approximately 85% of the company's total Ethereum inventory and is expected to generate approximately US$254 million in pledge revenue every year.
Long-term Ethereum Strategy-Driven Financial Reserve Growth Plan
Bitmine launched the MAVAN platform in early 2026, aiming to provide institutional Ethereum pledge services. The platform initially served the company's internal financial reserve needs, but later expanded its scope to include custodians, institutional customers and ecosystem partners. Management expects that as more Ethereum flows into the network, the platform will support higher pledge volumes.
The company predicts that once all Ethereum financial reserves are pledged and deployed, the annualized pledge reward may reach approximately US$299 million. The forecast is based on a seven-day pledge yield report of 2.65%. Pledge plans represent a strategic evolution from passive asset accumulation to active revenue generation.
Bitmine positions itself as the global leader in financial reserve holdings of Ethereum and the world's second-largest financial reserve holder for publicly traded digital assets after Strategy Inc. The company also pointed out that in the past five trading days, the average daily trading volume was approximately US$597 million. In addition, the leadership continues to pay attention to the GENIUS Act and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Project Crypto, believing that these may become potential catalysts for fundamentally changing the digital financial infrastructure and accelerating the mainstream application of the blockchain financial system.
