Chainlink Whales have increased their holdings of more than 14 million LINKS in three weeks
Sanitation data shared by Ali Martinez shows that in the past three weeks, large Chainlink wallets have increased their holdings of more than 14 million LINKS. This increase in holdings continues the overall upward trend of the balance of major holders during the period of sluggish LINK price performance.
Martinez described the increase as a signal that confidence among large holders may increase. Wallet balance metrics track changes within specific ownership levels, but cannot distinguish between open market purchases, custody restructurings, internal transfers, or address reclassifications.
Sanitation's dedicated LINK Large Holder Chart tracks address balances holding 100,000 to 10 million LINK units, as well as transactions exceeding $1 million.
Whale balance continues its previous increase in holdings
The increase in holdings in the past three weeks is part of the overall expansion of Chainlink's large wallet group. Sanitation statistics show that on May 25, the number of wallets holding at least 100,000 LINK reached a record high of 805, an increase of 8.2% in seven weeks.
Another May data showed that addresses holding 100,000 to 10 million LINK increased their holdings of 32.93 million tokens in one month. During this period, the group's total balance increased by 7.7%, while LINK prices remained near multi-month lows.
Whale activity also appears through exchange withdrawals. Earlier this year, as the Bitwise Chainlink ETF began trading, several large wallets extracted hundreds of thousands of LINKS from Binance. One of the addresses obtained a total of 342,557 LINKS through two withdrawals, while the other address withdrew 207,328 LINKS from the exchange.
Chainlink wallet growth hits record high
The increase in holdings coincides with the overall growth in Chainlink's holder base. Sanitation records show that as of July 13, the number of non-empty LINK wallets on Ethereum reached 900,000, adding more than 20,000 new holders in the previous month.
Chainlink also recorded its strongest three-day network growth in 2026 - 8903 new addresses were added between June 25 and 27.
Network adoption continues to increase through Chainlink's infrastructure products. Its cross-chain interoperability agreement processed more than US$18 billion in transactions in the first quarter, and transfer activity increased by 78% month-on-month and 319% year-on-year. As CCIP usage, token support range and fee revenue increase, Chainlink network growth has previously outpaced LINK's price performance.
Sanitation's latest holder data shows that the number of non-empty LINK wallets on Ethereum has reached a record high of 900,000.
