Tokenized stocks surge in digital wallets: paradigm shift for assets on the chain

The number of digital wallets holding tokenized stocks has increased significantly, exceeding the 1 million mark. According to RWA.xyz, the increase reached 33% in one week. Just a year ago, this number was only 58,999, but now it has increased more than 17 times. This trend highlights the growing appeal of tokenized equity, which far outperforms other asset classes in the digital space.

Why are tokenized equity ahead of RWA wallets?

Tokenized stocks have become a major part of the real-world asset market on the chain. Of the 1.62 million RWA wallets reported, tokenized equity accounted for 62.8%, compared to 13.1% just over a year ago. Although commodities grew by 130% annually, their share was significantly small and they were in a secondary position.

What is driving the recent surge in wallet numbers?

The number of stock-focused digital wallets has grown significantly, largely due to the influence of platforms such as bStocks, with nearly 960,000 new accounts directly linked to tokenized equity. The shift from Robinhood to bStocks as the main entry platform illustrates the dynamics that shape the current market landscape.

bStocks has become the core of this progress, stimulating interest through its innovative platform offering digital securities backed by real-world stocks. For example, SpaceX accounts for a significant share of user wallets in this new framework.

Over the past year, tokenized stock wallets have surged faster than all other categories in the RWA space, reflecting a major shift in asset preferences along the chain.

Conflicts between bStocks and competitors have intensified, with bStocks soaring 93.25% in value last month, overtaking platforms such as xStocks despite fewer listed assets. Its competitive advantage lies in providing selected and influential tokenized stocks.

The total value of the top tokenized stock platform exceeds US$2.3 billion.

The average investment amount in tokenized stocks is approximately US$2,250 per holder.

Although less listed than xStocks, bStocks still controls a 24.18% market share.

Ondo maintains top market valuation but faces slight share erosion.

As investment shifts in smaller and more frequent directions, the digital asset space is entering previously unknown territory. This trend is likely to continue, attracting more attention and innovation as companies and investors adapt to the evolving digital ecosystem of on-chain investment. The tokenized stock sector is expected to further transform and open a new era of digital investment opportunities.
