TRON tests post-test quantum password protection on the Nile Test Network, accelerating security strategy upgrade
TRON, the well-known decentralized L1 blockchain, is accelerating its security strategy to respond to future threats through post-test quantum password protection. TRON is currently using the Nile Testnet to verify relevant password security protections. According to TRON founder Sun Yuchen, the platform aspires to become the first network to resist quantum attacks. To this end, TRON is preparing its ecosystem for possible security threats posed by increasingly sophisticated quantum computers. Through this initiative, TRON hopes to become one of the first blockchain ecosystems to implement anti-quantum security standards and occupy a prominent position.

TRON testing anti-quantum security protection on the Nile Test Network is a critical step in strengthening the cryptographic architecture before quantum computing reaches a level that is enough to crack the widely used encryption standard. This progress highlights broader efforts to improve the long-term resilience of networks in the context of the growing popularity of blockchain. Currently, the Nile Test Network is compatible with anti-quantum signatures using post-quantum cryptographic algorithms.
Among them, ML-DSA-44 is one of the key technologies being tested. This is a standardized algorithm built under the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Post-Quantum Cryptography Program. Such algorithms are said to remain secure against attacks launched by advanced quantum computers. This test has no restrictions on transfer authorization.
In addition, TRON is studying the application of anti-quantum cryptography to multiple important components of its blockchain model. Related solutions cover block production, smart contract signature verification, broader network infrastructure, and point-to-point node handshakes. TRON's strategy focuses on preparing ahead rather than waiting for quantum computing to pose an immediate threat. The network is using a test environment to study and verify proprietary cryptographic standards before being fully deployed into a broader ecosystem.
