Zcash fluctuates near the key moving average, and the US$450 support level faces test
Zcash is still hovering above this key technical level after briefly falling below the 50-day moving average at the end of July 2026. The cryptocurrency returned to this indicator in early August, but if it cannot hold to the current level, it still faces the risk of falling again.
Price Trend and Technical Outlook
This week, Zcash fluctuated again as investors evaluated the latest round of economic data. The U.S. producer price index in July was unchanged from the previous month and showed no change. Market analysts previously surveyed by Dow Jones had forecast a month-on-month growth of 0.2%. The result followed expectations of consumer price data and did not surprise traders too much.
After falling slightly at the beginning of the week, Zcash rebounded from a low of $465 on August 11, 2026. Since then, the digital asset has been traded in a narrow range of $474 to $500, and market participants are waiting for the next major direction choice. [TAG
Technical analysts are keeping a close eye on the 50-day moving average as an important support level. If the price fails to hold this level, Zcash may test to the next support level of $450. A break below this level could push the price further down to $411, while $394, where the 200-day moving average is located, constitutes a longer-term bottom.
Conversely, if buyers can hold the $450 area, bulls are expected to maintain the overall recovery structure and have the opportunity to build momentum for a new rally. For many traders, the results in this range are likely to determine Zcash's short-term trend.
If it decisively falls below the $450 level, Zcash could face a further decline of as much as 20%, and retest the $394 mark where its 200-day moving average is located. However, if they can stay above $450, bulls will be able to defend the overall recovery and may support continuing attempts to recover higher key levels.
Market changes and new developments
Against the backdrop of a changing landscape, Zcash Labs emerged last week, an independent entity dedicated to solving the integration challenges faced by companies and institutions using Zcash. The organization's initial priorities include supporting blockchain integration, providing Infrastructure services, and assisting in the implementation of new projects that are conducive to the practical application of Zcash technology.
At the same time, traditional financial markets are undergoing major transformation as Wall Street institutions adopt Web3 technology. Investors are starting to use platforms such as 1stepSwap, which allow tokenized stocks of large U.S. companies, as well as gold and silver, to be hosted directly in crypto wallets. This approach eliminates intermediate links and uses on-chain protocols to automatically lock in the best market price within seconds, enabling seamless acquisition of real-world assets in digital form.
The development of the new protocol, combined with the evolving market infrastructure, will have a profound impact on institutional and retail participants as they explore the next phase of Zcash and related digital assets.
