Cardano prices face technical decisions

Cardano's current price is US$0.1741, down 0.35% during the day, and trading volume also fell 23%. The weakening of trading activity is noteworthy as Cardano is entering a period of intensive catalytic events. Dijkstra's era roadmap targets the first phase (including nested transactions and linear Leios) in the fourth quarter of 2026, followed by Ouroboros Peras in the second quarter of 2027. The hard fork working group is also coordinating the next upgrade process. But the Cardano bulls face a problem: A confirmed bullish structure has not yet appeared on the chart, and an important September 1 governance deadline is approaching. Here's where ADA prices might go.

Cardano prices face technical decisions

More Crypto Online's analysis maintains ADA prices within a correction range and points out that current support may see a B-wave rebound. The key upside area is US$0.186-US$0.22, but the chart shows multiple resistance levels within this area.

On the chart, ADA prices are currently trading around the 61.8% Fibonacci level of US$0.1733, with support around US$0.1641, and deeper support areas close to US$0.1502. If buyers push prices up, the first Fibonacci targets are $0.1855,$0.1911,$0.1953 and $0.2027. Greater Fibonacci resistance is at $0.1999,$0.2182 and $0.2471. Therefore, a rebound alone cannot confirm a trend reversal. Cardano prices need to regain resistance and hold it.

Cardano governance risks may limit rebound

The biggest fundamental issue is the Constitutional Council vote. Four of Cardano's seven council seats will expire on September 1, 2026 (epoch 653). If the renewal vote fails, only three members remain, which is below the minimum requirement of five. This could freeze most major on-chain governance actions, including protocol upgrades and treasury expenditures, but transactions and block production will operate normally. As of August 17, the renewal vote received only 32.46% DRep support, while the threshold required for passage was 67%. With less than two weeks before the deadline, the voting gap is considerable. This is important for bulls because Dijkstra itself requires governance approval to activate. The first phase is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 and will bring linear Leios and nested transactions, while Peras plans to implement it in the second quarter of 2027.

Where will Cardano prices go next?

The first path is the short-term B-wave recovery. If the ADA price stays near $0.1733, buyers may push the price to $0.1855, followed by $0.1911 and $0.1953. This is consistent with the correction wave pattern pointed out by More Crypto Online. A stronger trend will push the ADA price above US$0.1953 and enter the US$0.1999 - 0.2027 resistance zone. If blocked here, the overall correction structure will remain unchanged. If buyers regain $0.2027 and hold it as support, the next major target is $0.2182, then $0.2471. This will provide stronger evidence for the end of the amendment phase. The bearish scenario started when Cardano prices fell below the $0.1641 support zone. The chart then points to $0.1502. A break below this level would severely weaken the bullish case. At present, the clearest trend is a possible rebound, but the bulls still need to be confirmed above the resistance level. The $0.186 - 0.2027 area is a key test.

FAQs

What is the ADA price forecast for 2026? If buyers hold on to the current support zone, ADA prices may target $0.186-$0.2027 first. A break above $0.2027 could open the way to $0.2182 and $0.2471.

Can Cardano ADA hit $0.22? Yes. More Crypto Online's chart analysis points to $0.186 - 0.22 as a potential B-wave rebound area. However, the ADA needs to overcome resistance around $0.1953-$0.2027 before $0.22 can become a stronger target.

Why is the Cardano governance vote important to the ADA? Four of Cardano's seven Constitutional Council seats will expire on September 1, 2026. If a renewal vote fails, the committee's size could fall below the minimum size, potentially preventing major governance actions such as agreement upgrades and treasury spending.
