Securitize and Neuberger launch multi-chain high-yield fund
Securitize and Neuberger Berman jointly launched the Neuberger Securitize High-yield Tokenized Fund (HINC), which brings proactively managed high-yield fixed income strategies into the public blockchain.
The fund was launched on August 18 and mainly invests in high-yield bonds and issues shares on multiple blockchains including Avalanche, Ethereum, Solana and Sui.
HINC's investment portfolio will be mainly concentrated on high-yield bonds, covering both collateralized loan bonds (CLOs) and leveraged loans.
This release broadens the types of institutional investment products available under tokenization, surpassing the treasury bond and money market strategies common in previous tokenized funds.
Neuberger will participate in the management of tokenized funds as a sub-adviser for the first time. Its fixed-income platform manages assets exceeding US$230 billion, while the company's overall assets under management are approximately US$613 billion.
Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo said the release allows eligible investors to access Neuberger's mature fixed income capabilities through four leading blockchain networks and leveraging Securitize's regulated end-to-end tokenization platform.
Although fund shares are expressed on the public blockchain, participation will still be restricted. Investors must qualify as Qualified Investors or Qualified Buyers and complete Securitize's entry process, including Know Your Customers (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks.
Significance for Sui and Avalanche
For Sui, the release is another test of whether its blockchain infrastructure can support increasingly complex regulated financial products while meeting the compliance, custody and investor control mechanisms needed by institutions.
Sui has identified its programmable infrastructure as a key feature in handling these requirements.
This release also expands the range of financial assets available on Avalanche. The network already supports tokenized products related to areas such as credit and government securities. The addition of HINC adds a high-yield strategy of proactive management to this market.
According to RWA.xyz data, Securitize's distributed asset value among 26 tokenized real-world assets is approximately US$4.96 billion. Its products include BlackRock's $2.7 billion BUIDL fund,$355 million tokenized AAA CLO fund, and $95 million Apollo Diversified Credit Fund.
