Activity on the Stellar network chain hits a record high
According to data analysis, the Stellar network recorded 3.7 million transactions on August 20, and the number of active users that day reached 124,270. This data reflects real on-chain activity rather than idle capacity, highlighting the network's growing usefulness as a payment and settlement layer. The current price of XLM tokens is US$0.191, corresponding to a market value of approximately US$6.58 billion. The on-chain handling fee for the day is US$1,216, and the 30-day average is US$32,800, which is consistent with Stellar's long-term design philosophy of maintaining low transaction costs. On the Stellar network, the average fee per transaction remains at around $0.0001, or about one-tenths of a cent.
TVL growth shows expansion of DeFi ecosystem
The total locked position value (TVL) of Stellar network currently stands at US$260.16 million, an increase of 12.33% in the past 30 days. Decentralized exchanges (DEX) transaction volume reached US$3.42 million in the past 24 hours, reflecting the ongoing trading demand on the network's decentralized trading layer. The expansion of TVL is in line with broader trends developed since 2026. Stellar's DeFi total lockdown value hit a record high in June 2026, exceeding US$240 million. This growth is mainly due to the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). Excluding stablecoins, the market value of RWA on Stellar increased by 91% month-on-month, climbing from approximately US$796 million at the end of 2025 to US$1.52 billion at the end of the quarter, and then exceeded the US$2 billion mark.
Stable coins and institutional adoption advance simultaneously
The network's stablecoin ecosystem has also expanded significantly. The market value of stablecoins on Stellar increased by 22% month-on-month, from US$244 million to US$297 million, mainly driven by the growth of USDC and the online launch of the Euro stablecoin (EURCV) issued by SG-FORGE in March 2026. In terms of institutional applications, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), which is responsible for clearing and settling almost all U.S. securities transactions, announced on May 27, 2026 that it will introduce assets managed by the Depository Trust Corporation (DTC) to the Stellar Network. It is expected that by the first half of 2027, this move will bring Russell 1000 Index stocks, major ETFs and U.S. Treasury bonds onto the chain. All online data is as of August 20, 2026.
