Ether.fi announces a major expansion into crypto banking
Ether.fi, an Ethereum-based decentralized financial platform known for its liquidity pledge, has now announced a significant expansion into crypto banking, adding tokenized asset trading, portfolio backed loans, and global fiat account capabilities to its self-custody applications.
The platform states that users can now trade tokenized stocks, precious metals and crypto assets directly within the app. In addition, based on the Aave protocol deployed on Optimism, the Ethereum Layer 2 network, a built-in lending market allows users to lend assets or borrow against investment portfolios without closing positions. Funds derived from borrowing can be used for sending or consumption. The new fiat account supports deposit and withdrawal operations in more than 30 currencies around the world.
