Flowra today announced the launch of its Open Order Flow Auction (OOA) framework, a new block building solution designed for Solana that aims to introduce open competition mechanisms to reshape the online MEV market and increase verifier revenue.
This open order flow auction allows registered searchers to compete for transaction packaging rights through a transparent bidding mechanism, replacing the traditional closed order flow channel. By incorporating block space into a competitive bidding system, Flowra aims to optimize price discovery mechanisms that allow verifiers to capture a greater proportion of MEV value.
In early testing on a single verifier, using the Flowra scheme, the computing unit per block increased by 20.6%, increasing the verifier from 84% of the network average to 101%. At the same time, its block cost exceeds that of similar verification software, the block production success rate reaches 100%, and the block engine running time reaches 99.999%.
In addition to auction mechanisms, Flowra also introduces programmable block policy capabilities. This feature allows verifiers to customize transaction packaging rules at the block building level and is designed to give verifiers greater operational flexibility-including meeting regulatory or institutional compliance requirements without having to modify Solana's underlying protocols. Flowra recently announced a partnership with compliance infrastructure provider Honeypot to integrate sanctions screening and risk assessment capabilities into this level.
"Solana has become the industry-leading blockchain network with its superior performance, but its MEV market is still highly concentrated," said Harry Hwang, CEO of Flowra."By introducing a transparent competition mechanism to build blocks, we are creating a more efficient block space market, while giving verifiers greater autonomy over the block construction process in a fully verifiable and auditable manner."
Flowra's architectural design draws on Ethereum's competitive block building model-which significantly improves proposer's revenue through open bidding. The company believes that Solana's high throughput and low latency characteristics make it naturally suitable for similar market-based block construction solutions.
Currently, Flowra is opening up access services for order flow auctions to institutional verifiers, and will gradually expand its deployment scope as the network expands. The open order-stream auction is now open to validators and searchers within the Solana ecosystem.
