SpendLayer expands its BlockDebit infrastructure to multiple blockchains

SpendLayer, a unmanaged crypto wallet and payment infrastructure platform, today announced that it has begun rolling out multi-chain support for its BlockDebit infrastructure. The platform currently supports Avalanche networks and is gradually expanding to three networks: Ethereum, Polygon and Base.

This expansion was promoted after the platform was officially launched on May 28, 2026. SpendLayer's BlockDebit infrastructure expands direct debit capabilities for blockchain payments from Avalanche to three new networks. Each network introduces regular subscription payment, merchant initiated billing, and automatic payment authorization functions, and users always retain control of funds and private keys throughout the process.

SpendLayer's multi-chain function will be made available to users in stages, but has not yet been fully launched to all users.

Supported networks:

Avalanche

Expanding networks:

Ethereum
Polygon
Base

SpendLayer's infrastructure is compatible with wallets and supports third-party unmanaged wallets. As a provider of technology and payment infrastructure, the company is not a custodian financial intermediary: it does not hold, control or access user funds at any stage, and the private key is always in the hands of the user throughout the entire payment cycle.

Manica Nucic, CEO of SpendLayer Group, said: "A payment layer that runs only on a single network cannot be called a payment layer. Merchants and users are scattered across different chains, and the underlying infrastructure must be suitable for their current environment. The reason why we are gradually rolling out in stages rather than fully rolling out in one go is that the payment infrastructure must first ensure reliability before pursuing speed. Expanding BlockDebit to Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche and Base is a step towards making digital assets easier to use in daily economic activities-no matter where those activities occur."

The company continues to expand its integration with compliant fiat deposit and deposit service providers, allowing users to purchase and sell digital assets through licensed external partners within the wallet environment. These services are provided by external partners rather than SpendLayer.
