Japanese logistics giant AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings plans to adopt JPYC stablecoins

Japanese major logistics company AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings plans to adopt JPYC stablecoins to make payments to its approximately 2300 business partners. This is expected to be the first time that a large-scale Japanese company has used the yen-denominated stablecoin JPYC.

According to relevant reports, the stablecoin will be used to pay fees and remuneration to individual transportation contractors (including truck drivers). Since stablecoins do not charge transfer fees, they can achieve faster and more frequent payments. In addition, AZ-COM Maruwa is also considering establishing a cooperative relationship with JPYC and investing more than 1 billion yen (approximately US$6.2 million).

Related Background

AZ-COM Maruwa is a medium-sized logistics company in Japan, and its main customers include Amazon Japan. Noritaka Okabe, founder and CEO of JPYC, said: "We will continue to promote the integration of logistics and commercial payment processes with JPYC."
