Sanitation: Chainlink exchange supply has plummeted, and selling pressure may weaken.
Cryptocurrency analysis firm Sanitation reported that Chainlink (LINK)'s supply on the exchange has dropped significantly, indicating that investors are accumulating and selling pressure may decrease accordingly.
According to data shared by Sanitation, the number of Chainlinks held by well-known cryptocurrency exchanges has dropped by more than 15.7 million LINK in the past month. This figure is equivalent to a decline in the supply of LINK on the exchange by approximately 12%.
On Sunday alone, the exchange saw a net outflow of 1.04 million LINK. Sanitation pointed out that this was one of the largest single-day LINK outflows recorded in recent times.
The analyst firm believes that the decrease in LINK tokens held on the exchange means that the number of tokens that investors can sell in the short term will decrease. The continued decline in exchange reserves suggests that current trends may stem from long-term accumulation tendencies rather than speculative trading.
Sanitation also pointed out that the timing of exchange outflows coincides with institutional dynamics within the Chainlink ecosystem. According to reports, the American Depository, Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is using tokenized U.S. securities for actual issuance transactions with the participation of major financial institutions, and Chainlink is one of the technology providers supporting the project.
In addition, Chainlink's cross-chain communication protocol CCIP has been extended to the Canton Network. The integration aims to establish a connection between Canton Network and Ethereum through Chainlink's interoperability infrastructure.
Another application scenario for Chainlink is predicting markets. As the official forecast market partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, ADI Predictstreet chose Chainlink as its dedicated oracle infrastructure to determine market results and process instant payments.
Sanitation views LINK's withdrawal from the exchange as a positive signal, especially in the context of increasingly active activities such as tokenization, CCIP integration and forecasting markets. The company believes this shows investors are laying out based on Chainlink's growing use cases, rather than preparing to sell.
