San Mateo, California, USA, July 21, 2026-The addition of membership brings Dinari's professional experience in regulated, trussed tokenized securities to Washington, at a time when policymakers are building a framework for on-chain capital markets.
Dinari, the pioneer of the U.S. public stock custody model, today announced that he has joined the Blockchain Association, a leading industry association in Washington, D.C. that represents the digital asset industry. As policymakers continue to shape the future of tokenized securities, Dinari will contribute his professional experience to help promote prudent regulation that both supports innovation and protects investor rights.
Since pioneering the custody model of tokenized stocks, Dinari has been committed to bringing U.S. capital markets onto the chain through regulated infrastructure. The core philosophy is that tokenization should enhance existing market infrastructure rather than replace it. Through the dShares platform, Dinari enables financial institutions to offer tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, while retaining the rights and protection of traditional securities while unleashing the benefits of blockchain technology, including guaranteed redemptions at the National Best Bid Price (NBBO), cash dividends, automated corporate actions and simplified tax processing. As a transfer agent registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company has built an infrastructure that supports brokers, exchanges, fintech companies and other regulated financial institutions to issue, custody, trade and serve tokenized securities within existing regulatory frameworks.
The announcement comes at a critical moment for U.S. tokenization of securities. In its January 2026 statement on tokenized securities, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission described a custody model: a third party holds the issuer's securities and issues crypto assets that represent the holder's interest in the underlying securities. Dinari pioneered this method of custody and continues to work with regulators and market participants to develop infrastructure that integrates blockchain innovation with protection measures and traditional securities market structures.
"We very much welcome Dinari to the Blockchain Association and look forward to bringing their professional experience in tokenized securities and blockchain-based capital markets to policy discussions in Washington," said Summer Mersinger, CEO of the Blockchain Association. "By working together, we can help shape a prudential regulatory framework that supports the future of U.S. tokenized securities."
In addition to the dShares platform, Dinari is building the Dinari Financial Network, an institutional framework that connects brokers, exchanges, custodians, transfer agents, issuers and other regulated market participants to support the issuance, trading, clearing and servicing of tokenized securities. By combining regulated financial infrastructure with blockchain technology, Dinari is laying the foundation for compliance for the next generation of capital markets.
"We believe tokenization is one of the greatest opportunities in decades to modernize capital markets, but long-term adoption depends on maintaining trust, transparency and investor protection-which are why U.S. securities markets have become the global standard," said Gabriel Otte, co-founder and CEO of Dinari. "Since its inception, we have always believed that tokenization should strengthen the existing financial system, not replace it. We are excited to join the Blockchain Association and contribute our first-hand experience in building regulated tokenized securities as policymakers develop a framework for the future of capital markets."
