XRPL verifiers are convinced that XRP is here to solve these problems at SWIFT

Cross-border payments are still one of the main application scenarios of blockchain technology. XRPL validator Vet brought the latest progress after recording the experience of a delay in international bank transfers.

Just a few days ago, Vet explained that a wire transfer in euros to the United States was stuck somewhere in the banking system. He has now confirmed that the transaction has finally been settled, and the experience has further strengthened his view that blockchain-based payment networks can solve long-standing inefficiencies.

This update stems from a post posted by Vet on the X platform four days ago. He explained in his post that he had initiated an international wire transfer in euros, which should have been converted into US dollars and delivered to his account. According to him, the payment was delayed in an intermediary bank, so he applied for SWIFT tracking to find out where the funds were stagnant. He speculated at the time that the transfer might be at the international wire transfer counter waiting for a currency exchange between euros and U.S. dollars.

Vet compares this experience with XRP Ledger's decentralized exchange. He pointed out that on XRPL, cross-currency payments between euros and U.S. dollars can be settled in seconds, while anyone can verify transactions at any time without relying on banks to provide updates.

The final settlement further confirms his views on blockchain payments

While providing an update, Vet revealed that the money had finally reached its destination. He explained that the bank retriggered the transaction, but the available SWIFT tracking records did not clearly show specific problems. However, he believes it is likely that an intermediary bank repaired the payment by modifying the settlement instructions and routing the transfer to another intermediary institution, allowing it to be completed.

Although the transfer was ultimately successful, Vet pointed out that the need for manual intervention is just one of the limitations that still exist in traditional international payment infrastructure. His comments suggest that even after payments are completed, delays caused by middlemen can create uncertainty for customers trying to track funds.

Vet also responded to some of the criticism it received after sharing its initial experience. He said some people believe that XRP does not solve the real problem because its market price has not reached the level they expected. He refuted this view, insisting that price performance should not be confused with the actual value of the technology.

Blockchain adoption remains at the core of Vet's long-term view

In elaborating on the broader outlook, Vet made it clear that blockchain technology will fundamentally change the financial system over time. He believes that as financial infrastructure continues to evolve, advantages such as faster settlement, transparent transaction tracking and reduced reliance on multiple intermediaries will become increasingly important.

He ended his tweet by encouraging readers to develop their investment arguments while there was still the opportunity, implying that understanding the long-term usefulness of blockchain technology is more important than just focusing on current market prices.

As a result, Vet's latest update puts an end to his delayed wire transfer incident and strengthens the arguments he made from the beginning. Although traditional banking systems eventually complete payments, the experience highlights the inefficiencies that he believes blockchain networks such as XRP Ledger aim to eliminate.
