South Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics said it plans to expand the capabilities of Samsung Wallet from traditional payments to stablecoin support. The company is working to integrate payments, rewards and digital assets into a single wallet experience.
Samsung product manager Lee Dinham said at the annual Galaxy Unpacked launch event on Wednesday: "Samsung Wallet will move beyond cash and savings to embrace new forms of digital value, including stablecoins." He added that the move would make Samsung "one of the first major mobile brands to introduce native stablecoins to smartphones, enabling rapid and credible digital value transfer."

This stablecoin announcement marks Samsung's latest step in integrating blockchain assets into its broader mobile ecosystem. Samsung has not disclosed which stablecoins, launch schedules or wallet features it plans to support.
In October 2025, Samsung expanded its cooperation with U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase, allowing U.S. Galaxy users to purchase cryptocurrency directly through Samsung wallets. The integration initially targeted more than 75 million Galaxy users in the United States and plans to promote it further.
Samsung Wallet has integrated payment cards, rewards and other services, and the company's recently launched Galaxy Card adds a new level to its growing financial ecosystem.
