The World Foundation has received US$52.5 million in financing through locked WLD token sales, led by Pantera Capital.
The funds will be used to integrate biometric verification technology into enterprise systems and AI proxy platforms.

The World Foundation completed US$52.5 million financing
The World Foundation, which operates the World Network associated with Sam Altman, has successfully completed a US$52.5 million financing round by selling locked WLD tokens to institutional investors.
Pantera Capital served as the lead investor, followed by institutions such as Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings, Selini Capital and Susquehanna Crypto. All tokens purchased in this round have a 12-month unlocking period.
The funds will be used to drive the expansion of World ID. The platform aims to use this mechanism to distinguish real human users from artificial intelligence systems and automated robots in a digital environment.
Understand the technical principles of World ID
The World ID system performs biometric scanning through a dedicated hardware device called Orb. The device generates a unique digital certificate that is used to verify human identity while protecting privacy by avoiding permanent storage of personal information.
According to WorldNet, its platform has access to more than 39 million users. Of these, approximately 18 million people were verified through Orb infrastructure. Since its inception, the platform has processed more than 475 million World ID authentication requests.
The project was co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in conjunction with Max Novendstern and Alex Blania, head of Tools for Humanity. The project has faced regulatory challenges in multiple jurisdictions due to the way it collects biometric information.
Moving to enterprise applications
The world's network is shifting from prioritizing user acquisition to emphasizing practical deployment. The new funding will help integrate its authentication infrastructure into the enterprise software ecosystem and AI proxy environment.
Cosmo Jiang, general partner of Pantera Capital, said: "As AI capabilities develop rapidly, the need for 'human proof' is becoming increasingly urgent. "
This is the second major capital operation of the World Network. The organization previously raised $135 million in May 2025 through a private token transaction involving a16z and Bain Capital Crypto.
Currently, the WLD token price remains around US$0.37, and the total market value exceeds US$1.3 billion.
This round of financing comes as venture capital activity for AI and cryptocurrency infrastructure continues to be active. Paradigm announced in July the establishment of a $1.2 billion fund focusing on investments in cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence and robotics. Framework Ventures completed a $400 million fund raising in June with similar investment priorities.
Coinbase has also launched infrastructure that allows companies to process USDC payments from autonomous AI systems. The exchange reported that AI-driven queries on its developer resources exceeded human traffic for the first time last month.
WorldNet's latest financing makes it a key player in the growing movement for online human identity-a need that has become increasingly prominent as distinguishing AI-generated content becomes increasingly challenging.
