XLM wallet distribution data reveals that it costs only US$187 to rank among the top 10% of holders.
According to the latest wallet distribution data, XLM has attracted attention in the cryptocurrency market. Data shows that the threshold for entering the top 10% of holdings is surprisingly low-you only need to hold 1075 XLMs, which is approximately US$187 based on the current price of US$0.174.
Wallet distribution reveals low thresholds
This wallet analysis report, widely circulated on social media, shows several eye-catching indicators. The top 1% of XLM holders each hold at least 22446 XLMs, equivalent to less than US$4000. To be in the top 5%, you only need to hold 3751 XLMs. Compared with other mainstream cryptocurrencies, it usually takes hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars to be classified as a "whale", while Stellar has a significantly lower holding threshold and is easier to participate.
Data shows that holding just over 1000 XLMs gives investors a nine-tenths lead over the Wallet on Stellar Network-a threshold far lower than the common level in other mature blockchain ecosystems.
This wallet structure stems in large part from the millions of activated accounts, many of which have extremely low or just "dust" balances. Therefore, compared to other networks with more concentrated tokens, the statistical threshold for reaching a higher holding percentile in the Stellar network is relatively low.
Hold Percentiles| Number of XLMs required| Approximately top 10% of US dollar value
| 1,075 |US$187
Top 5%| 3,751 |US$653
Top 1%| 22,446 |US$3,906
Market capitalization, supply and network control
The current trading price of Stellar Coin is approximately US$0.17, with a total market value of nearly US$6 billion, and a circulating supply of approximately 34 billion XLMs. After large-scale destruction incidents in previous years, its total supply is approximately 50 billion pieces.
A significant portion of XLM is still managed by the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF). The organization is responsible for network development, partnerships and asset allocation. This means that the token distribution structure is likely to continue to evolve as the SDF fulfills its long-term mission.
(Note: The Stellar Development Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the growth and development of Stellar blockchain, managing a large number of token reserves and strategic partnerships to promote Stellar currency adoption in the real world and ecosystem expansion.)
Advantages and risks of wide accessibility
Stellar's wide accessibility ownership structure brings both opportunities and challenges. A lower threshold helps attract new capital, as even small investments can put users in the top 10% of holders. This narrative has gradually gained attention on social channels, portraying XLM as an easy way to get started for aspiring "elite" investors.
XLM's network accessibility means that users can enter the ranks of top holders for a few hundred dollars, but there is still significant concentration of tokens in larger addresses and entities. However, the relatively scattered distribution also suggests that most of the tokens are not concentrated in individual hands. Larger balances are usually held by institutional participants or SDFs, who continue to dominate the network's total open positions.
Stellar Coin's continuing mission and future prospects
Stellar's core goals remain to provide fast, low-cost cross-border payment solutions and explore asset tokenization through partnerships. Despite huge efforts to promote real-world adoption, XLM prices are still well below historical highs in previous market cycles.
Looking to the future, whether this wallet access can be a catalyst for attracting new investment interest will depend on capital inflows and user adoption. However, the latest data confirms that ranking high among XLM holders today can be achieved with just a small investment.
