On July 30, 2026, the original design goal of the

hardware wallet in Kingston, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was mainly to keep the private key offline to ensure security. Today, expectations have changed. People who manage their own encrypted assets still need secure cold storage, but they also want to easily exchange assets without exporting keys, using additional applications, or relying on browser tags. Because of this, CoolWallet integrates ChangeNOW, one of the fast redemption service providers on the market, and this integration is also the first step for the two parties to establish a broader strategic cooperation.

A brief introduction to CoolWallet

CoolWallet has been producing hardware wallets since 2014 and currently has more than 300,000 users, and there has never been a hacking incident. Its products-CoolWallet Pro and NFC-based Go-combine credit card-sized devices with a CoolWallet app that allows users to manage both cold and hot storage. The private key is generated within the device's security chip and never leaves the device, ensuring that it is never exposed to the connected mobile device. The application supports asset purchases, pledges and redemptions on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, EVM-compatible chains and other supported networks.

The Importance of CoolWallet Choosing ChangeNOW

Integrating redemption providers into hardware wallets requires careful planning. The product is designed to keep keys secure and prevent users from making transactions through untrusted channels, so redemption features must meet the same high standards as the device itself. CoolWallet has been connected to the ChangeNOW redemption API, and within the first month of release, ChangeNOW will serve as the default service provider for in-app redemption. Users do not need to choose their own service provider. They just need to open the redemption interface, select the asset they want to trade, and confirm it. The system will handle the remaining steps, and currently, ChangeNOW is the service provider it uses. The service is unmanaged, requires no registration, and automatically obtains exchange rates for more than 1500 assets and 90 networks from the liquidity of centralized and decentralized exchanges.

Coverage and transaction execution capabilities ensure the rest of the experience. In terms of coverage, users can move between different assets and network layers without leaving the application or worrying to find unpopular trading pairs. In terms of transaction execution, exchange and settlement are fast, keeping exchange rates stable even when liquidity changes, because the goal of routing is to obtain the best final output, rather than pursuing the most eye-catching superficial numbers.

Future Outlook

The CoolWallet team will work with ChangeNOW to develop a special edition hardware wallet for the Token2049 conference scheduled to be held at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore from October 7 to 8. This limited edition wallet will feature a custom design and use ChangeNOW as its only in-app redemption service provider. Details of the sale will be announced in the future. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities at the ChangeNOW booth. More information will be shared as the event approaches.
