Unibase led the way with strong momentum while testing key Fibonacci resistance levels
Cardano showed the strongest bullish confirmation signal with increased volume and improved momentum.
Algorand rebounded from support but had to break through key resistance to confirm a trend reversal.
Cryptocurrency traders entered August with optimism, with several altcoins recording strong gains last week. Technical charts show that the momentum of some projects is improving. Although the risks remain, a few tokens stand out due to continued strong price trends. Unibase, Cardano and Algorand each provide different opportunities for traders. The strong chart structure, improved market sentiment and project progress make these three top altcoins worthy of attention in the first week of August.
Unibase (UB)
Unibase has performed extremely strongly over the past week. The AI-focused project rose 61% in seven days and another 11% in the past 24 hours. UB is currently trading at approximately US$0.1943 and has a market value of nearly US$486 million. On July 17, after prices broke through the long-term downward resistance line, buyers dominated. Since then, the trend has continued to form higher highs and higher lows without interruption. The price is currently testing the 0.236 Fibonacci level (approximately $0.1928). If it can hold on to this area, UB may launch an attack near the April high (about US$0.2466). The short-term correction is likely to gain support around $0.1595, with stronger support around $0.1056. Traders also need to pay close attention to changes in momentum-despite rising prices, volume is still falling.
Cardano (ADA)
Cardano's ADA rose 24% last week after recovering from a weakness in June. ADA currently trades at approximately $0.1945. After the price fell below the downward channel, buyers repeatedly held on to the US$0.15 support area. The latest rally began on July 28, pushing prices back into the main resistance zone. The next challenge is near $0.20, where technical resistance continues to accumulate. 0.382 Fibonacci levels and the lower edge of the front channel strengthen this resistance level. If these two levels can be successfully exceeded, prices could open the way to $0.23. The current rally is also supported by momentum.
Algorand (ALGO)
Algorand rose 13% last week and is currently trading at around $0.0904. Buyers stepped in important $0.08 support areas and subsequently pushed prices higher. The rebound quickly hit resistance around $0.0923. Sellers held on to this level many times in June, so this breakthrough attempt was crucial. The next resistance level is around $0.1024, and a breakthrough above this level will improve the medium-term outlook. Current trading volume is weaker than Cardano, indicating that buyers still need to have greater confidence. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is close to 62, with room for gain before entering overbought territory. New attention around the Algorand quantum security roadmap has also supported market interest.
Unibase has seen the strongest recent price momentum despite weakening trading volume. Cardano combines healthy technical intensity and active network development. Algorand still faces major resistance, but continues to show early signs of recovery. These three altcoins deserve close attention in the first week of August 2026.
