Pumpfun hits record weekly revenue

Solana's Moein launch pad Pumpfun broke an important revenue threshold during the week of August 3 to 9, incurring a US$10.03 million agreement fee. This is the first time that the platform's weekly revenue has exceeded US$10 million, a 12% increase from the previous week.

This cost milestone has been accompanied by a sharp increase in activity on the chain. Weekly trading volume reached US$2.97 billion, the platform's highest record since late January 2026. The data suggest that retail and speculative activity on Solana is recovering after a relatively calm period at the beginning of the year.

Background: A volume-based platform

Pumpfun operates as a token launch pad on Solana, allowing anyone to create and trade memecoins at a very low cost. Its $PUMP token captures value through a mechanism: 50% of net agreement revenue generated by the joint curve, PumpSwap and other fees is used for automatic repurchase and destruction, while regularly allocating revenue to PUMP holders.

The platform has been the dominant force in the Solana ecosystem in terms of revenue. According to data, Pumpfun has incurred more than $30 million in expenses in the past 30 days, of which more than $23 million is counted as agreement revenue. The surge in fees and transaction volume in August also occurred during a period of wider expansion of the platform. Pumpfun has launched a major social transaction upgrade that introduces token reminder notifications, zero-fee transactions, and cross-chain USDC redemption capabilities. This product boost seems to be translating into measurable growth along the chain.

For PUMP token holders, fee momentum has a direct impact. The platform's repurchase and destruction mechanism directly links agreement revenue to token demand, meaning that continued high fee weeks can translate into incremental buying pressure on the open market. Since August 2025, the agreement has spent approximately 1.36 million SOL (approximately US$236 million) on repurchase, absorbing nearly 18% of the circulating supply.
