Bitcoin exceeded a closely watched long-term technical indicator for the first time in nearly nine months, which may indicate that the continued downward trend of cryptocurrencies is weakening.

Market tracking platform Barchart pointed out on Thursday that Bitcoin prices have reached their 200-day moving average for the first time since November 2025. About a month ago, Bitcoin hit a record high of more than $126,000. The 200-day moving average is a commonly used indicator to measure the direction of long-term trends. If prices continue to stand firm above this line, it is usually seen as a signal that bullish momentum is recovering.
