ZEC Grayscale announced a 3-in-1 split plan for its Zcash ETF (code: ZCSH)
In view of increased trading activity and the inflow of large amounts of institutional funds, Grayscale has confirmed a 3-in-1 forward split of its Zcash ETF (code: ZCSH). The leading digital asset management company focusing on cryptocurrency investment products said the stock split was part of its response to strong demand after ZCSH's recent listing on NYSE Arca.
Details and Impact of Share Split
This share split applies to shareholders registered as of the close on September 28. For every 1 existing share held, 2 additional shares will be received, and the allocation will be made after the market closes on September 29. The adjusted shares are expected to begin trading on NYSE Arca on September 30.
The main effect of this forward share split is to increase the number of ZCSH shares while reducing the corresponding value per share. The total value of any single investor's position remains unchanged. For example, 10 shares originally worth $300 will become 30 shares worth $100 per share, and the total portfolio value will still be $3,000.
ZCSH stems from Grayscale's transformation of its predecessor Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded product, allowing investors to gain investment exposure to the privacy-conscious cryptocurrency Zcash (ZEC) without directly owning or keeping the underlying digital assets.
