The asset distribution of centralized cryptocurrency exchanges is significantly unbalanced

Based on tracking data of known wallet addresses, the centralized cryptocurrency exchange (CEX) shows a significant imbalance in asset distribution. Among them, Binance, OKX and Bitfinex are among the top in tracking the cumulative asset size of wallets.

Data from DefiLlama shows that other well-known platforms include Bybit, Robinhood, Bitget, MEXC and Gemini. It is worth noting that the assets on the Binanping Platform are highly concentrated, highlighting its absolute dominant position in the cryptocurrency field.

Centralized exchange tracking wallet total asset ranking

DefiLlama tracks chain wallets that have been disclosed or identified by the exchange. The following are the assets of each platform:

·Ouyi: US$21.6 billion
· Bitfinex: US$16.8 billion
· Bybit: US$13.3 billion
· Robinhood: US$11.7 billion
· Bitget: US$5 billion
· MEXC: US$4.7 billion
· Gemini: US$4.3 billion

Binance leads the centralized exchange with US$138 billion in total assets

Binance ranks first among all cryptocurrency exchanges in terms of tracking cumulative assets in wallets. The exchange currently holds up to US$138 billion in cumulative assets, accounting for nearly 64% of the total assets tracked by all centralized exchanges. At the same time, this figure puts Binance's total assets at 6.4 times the combined assets of other leading centralized exchanges (US$77.4 billion).

Closely followed by Ouyi, the second-largest centralized cryptocurrency exchange in terms of total assets. According to reports, its cumulative assets are approximately US$21.6 billion, which is significantly lower than Binance. Next is another important player in the centralized exchange field-Bitfinex, with total assets of US$16.8 billion, ranking behind EUI.

Bybit is also an important cryptocurrency exchange, ranking fourth with cumulative assets of US$13.3 billion. Subsequently, Robinhood ranked among the top centralized exchanges in terms of total assets, with a total asset value of US$11.7 billion, thus ranking fifth, ahead of Bitget.

According to DefiLlama data, Bitget is the sixth largest centralized cryptocurrency exchange, with total assets of approximately US$5 billion, which is significantly lower than Robinhood. Next, MEXC effectively occupied seventh place on the list, with current total assets of US$4.7 billion. Finally, Gemini ended this list of top centralized exchanges with a total asset value of US$4.3 billion.
