Terra Luna Classic ($LUNC) continues to destroy tokens, but the market has not given positive feedback.
According to @LuncBurnDaily data, the destruction volume of $LUNC in a single day reached 32,142,460, which is the latest result of the community's continuous destruction action. Communities expect uninterrupted daily destruction to eventually tighten supplies, driving up prices. But so far, the price trend has not matched.
Destruction continues, but prices continue to fall.
As of writing,$LUNC has fallen by 19% in the past 30 days, underperforming the already pressurized cryptocurrency market. In the past week alone, Terra Luna Classic fell 13.40%, underperforming the global cryptocurrency market. The gap between destruction narratives and actual prices is making it increasingly difficult for communities to ignore.
The core problem facing Terra Classic is the extremely high supply of tokens left over from history, which directly affects its price structure and market confidence. As a result, destruction has become one of the key paths for communities to drive supply contraction-the goal is to improve the token structure through long-term deflation, rather than relying on a single event.
Each chain $LUNC transaction (including transfer, redemption, smart contract invocation) will automatically generate a 0.5% destruction tax. Exchange-led projects have also increased the total destruction volume. On May 1, 2026, Binance destroyed 923,238,507 $LUNCs in one go in its monthly destruction plan, one of the largest single demolitions in the plan, and has so far destroyed more than 80 billion tokens. However, even with such a large scale of destruction, there are still approximately 5.5 trillion coins in circulation.
Far from the high point and far from the low point
The asset's distance from historical highs speaks for itself. Terra Luna Classic hit a record high of $119.18. At current prices, the token is worth a fraction of a penny-a slump that dates back to the collapse of the Terra ecosystem in May 2022. But from the bottom, the situation is more complicated. Sources indicate that $LUNC has surged more than 4000% from its 2022 low, which is consistent with price movements: the token hit a trough a few months after the crash, and then rebounded partially.
Analysts warn that without wider adoption, DeFi ecosystem growth or major partnerships,$LUNC's recovery path will remain risky and slow. Currently, the community continues to destroy, keep a close eye on the trackers, and wait quietly.
