Quantum Solutions sells 1000 ETH units, raising approximately US$1.9 million to support AI infrastructure
Japanese technology company Quantum Solutions recently sold 1000 Ethereum (ETH) units for a transaction value of approximately US$1.9 million. According to documents disclosed by the company, the average price for the transaction was $1903 per piece. The company said the proceeds from the sale will be used to support its artificial intelligence infrastructure and data center expansion plans.
The transaction has reduced Quantum Solutions 'Ethereum holdings by nearly 30% since mid-June. Official documents show that the company currently holds approximately 4,764.8 ETH, ranking behind another Japanese company in the Ethereum holdings ranking of Japanese listed companies.
Ethereum sale helps AI infrastructure layout
The sale is the result of Quantum Solutions 'review of its digital asset management strategy. The company expects the transaction to generate a loss of approximately $100,000, which will be included in its financial report for the second quarter of fiscal 2027.
Most of Quantum Solutions 'Ethereum positions were accumulated in the fourth quarter of 2025, when ETH was trading at between $4000 and $4500. The current ETH price is close to US$1925, and the value of the company's remaining positions is approximately US$9.2 million.
The company has increased the approved sales limit of Ethereum from 1875 to 4375. This means that a maximum of 2471 more ETH units can be sold before October 30, but some positions are still pledged as collateral.
Adjust Ethereum strategy according to market environment
The sale of Quantum Solutions reflects the broader transformation that is taking place in companies that hold cryptocurrency reserves. Some companies continue to hold digital assets, while others adjust their positions to raise funds to support business operations.
Quantum Solutions has recently focused on expanding its artificial intelligence infrastructure division through investment in data center protocols and GPU equipment. The company has not confirmed whether there will be further sales of Ethereum after the transaction.
At the same time, corporate Ethereum strategies are becoming more prudent. While some investors have reduced their exposure during periods of market uncertainty, others have continued to increase their ETH holdings. The remaining Ethereum reserves of Quantum Solutions suggest that the company remains exposed to the asset while investing more capital in artificial intelligence development.
