Tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) are rapidly gaining attention in the financial sector, but regulatory compliance remains a major challenge for market participants. T-REX Network is trying to solve this problem by developing its new T-REX Ledger. This is a compliance-centered digital securities infrastructure built based on Polygon's Chain Development Kit (CDK) and Agglayer.
T-REX Ledger is officially launched, and Apex Group has committed to investing US$100 billion.
T-REX Network announced the launch of the T-REX Ledger test network. The main network is scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2026. The platform aims to provide a compliance layer for tokenized securities, using Polygon CDK to enable assets to be efficiently and securely transferred between different blockchain networks while meeting regulatory requirements.
Global financial services provider Apex Group, which manages approximately US$3.5 trillion in assets, has committed to bringing US$100 billion worth of tokenized assets to T-REX Ledger by June 2027. The company will serve as the network's first on-chain transfer agent, responsible for maintaining detailed ownership records and overseeing regulatory compliance throughout the asset life cycle.
T-REX Network pointed out that Polygon's mature experience in the field of blockchain technology and its strong infrastructure were key factors in selecting Polygon as a partner. A representative explained that Polygon provides the technology and expertise needed to realize the project's compliance vision.
T-REX Network emphasized that Polygon's experience and technology are critical to verifying and implementing its long-term compliance strategy for tokenized securities.
Mini Dictionary
Apex Group, headquartered in Bermuda, provides fund, financial and corporate solutions to institutional clients around the world, with a business network of more than 50 offices around the world.
Regulatory challenges facing tokenized securities
Early attempts to tokenized securities have generally focused on the digitization of traditional financial assets. However, these efforts often fail to take into account complex legal requirements such as transfer of ownership, investor identity and jurisdiction restrictions associated with global securities markets.
T-REX Network emphasizes that when monetized assets move between different blockchains, scattered compliance records make it difficult to ensure that regulatory obligations are met. The lack of an interoperable compliance layer impedes market adoption and limits the effectiveness of institutional investors in regulated markets.
Polygon CDK and ERC-3643 assist compliance solutions
The T-REX Network does not build a proprietary blockchain, but uses Polygon's CDK to build a compliant, modular chain. The network said this approach simplifies the development process, achieves faster transaction speeds, and solves the problem of withdrawal delays common in other blockchain systems.
T-REX Ledger is built on ERC-3643, a token standard specifically designed for digital securities that meet regulatory requirements. The company said ERC-3643 has been used to tokenize more than $32 billion in assets and has been recognized by major industry players such as DTCC, Deloitte, ABN AMRO and Fireblocks.
Mini Dictionary
ERC-3643 is an Ethereum-based token standard specifically designed for regulated securities and features restricted transfers, ownership tracking and enhanced compliance controls.

Institutions 'enthusiasm for RWA tokenization is high
In the past year, the enthusiasm of institutions hoping to use blockchain technology to develop digital securities and tokenized funds has continued to grow. Large asset managers such as BlackRock and Franklin Templeton have launched tokenized investment products, demonstrating a strong demand for infrastructure that meets regulatory requirements.
Industry participants point out that the growing popularity of regulated RWA networks demonstrates the need for blockchain-based compliance solutions for institutions.
The latest collaboration between T-REX Network, Apex Group and Polygon marks an important shift in integrating regulatory compliance directly into blockchain infrastructure and may pave the way for more institutions to participate in the tokenized market.
