People following the crypto market: Arthur Hayes 'recent trading trends
Arthur Hayes, one of the well-known people closely watched in the crypto market, has once again become the focus due to his latest trading operations. On-chain data shows that BitMEX co-founders have sold a large number of Ethereum and SYN and ENA tokens. Especially after the price correction of Ethereum, this move is being closely watched by investors.
Arthur Hayes reduces Ethereum position
According to on-chain data, Arthur Hayes purchased a total of 3298 ETH units through over-the-counter (OTC) in the past two weeks at an average cost of US$1916. However, an address marked as belonging to Hayes recently transferred 2364 ETH to addresses associated with Cumberland and Galaxy Digital. After the transfer was completed, the address received approximately 4.3 million USDC. This flow of funds suggests that the transferred Ethereum has likely been sold off in large quantities.
On-chain analysis speculated that if Arthur Hayes did sell 2364 ETH units, the transaction could result in a loss of approximately US$220,000. Although the exact transaction price has not yet been confirmed, the amount of USDC transferred and the movement of funds are still important indicators of strengthening the possibility of selling. Data shows that the address received millions of USDC while transferring thousands of ETH to addresses related to institutional trading platforms.
Also sell SYN and ENA tokens
In addition to Ethereum, Arthur Hayes also reduced his position in two altcoins. On-chain data shows that Hayes sold SYN worth approximately $658,000 and ENA worth approximately $248,000. With these operations, Hayes has sold off millions of dollars worth of crypto assets in a short period of time. It is worth noting that BitMEX, co-founded by Hayes, recently announced that it will permanently cease operations. Although it is unclear whether Hayes 'latest sell-off is directly related to this, the movements of large wallets continue to attract market attention.
Evaluation
Arthur Hayes 'sell-off of Ethereum, SYN and ENA tokens has sent a compelling signal to market participants who track the movements of large players. Although the Ethereum transaction may end in a loss, the reduction of altcoin positions during the same period can be interpreted as a portfolio rebalancing or risk management strategy. However, on-chain transfers themselves do not determine the direction of the market, and investors still need to make comprehensive judgments based on the overall market environment and other data.
