Analysis of cryptocurrency prices on August 7: ETH, XRP, ADA, BNB, HYPE

Ethereum (ETH)

This week, Ethereum continued to fluctuate within the range without significant fluctuations. Prices continue to consolidate below $2000 resistance. As of the time of publication, the US$1800 support level has performed solidly and has recently been reconfirmed.

Based on the current price trend, what is worrying is that ETH lacks the motivation to break through US$2000. Any attempts in the past few weeks have been rejected, and bears may take the opportunity to find a counterattack.

Looking to the future, Ethereum is still in a macro downward trend, and this pattern will change only if prices form higher lows and highs. Ideally, ETH needs to convert US$2000 into support and target US$2400 in the next step to get rid of the current downward trend.

Ripple (XRP)

As expected, XRP fell below the recent pennant (blue area in the chart), retesting the key support level for the US$1 dollar. Whether bulls can hold this position is crucial, otherwise prices may face the risk of plummeting.

Prices closed down 4% this week due to the current dominance of bears. Hopefully the bulls will return here and push XRP up, but even if they rebound, it may just be a dead cat.

Looking to the future, the price trend remains short, and the possibility of a lower low is greater than a reversal. If US$1 turns into resistance, XRP will have difficulty stopping the downward trend in the future.

Cardano (ADA)

Cardano was one of the few mainstream altcoins to record double-digit gains this week, up as much as 18%. Prices have risen to $0.20 and could further challenge the key resistance level of $0.23.

After the US$0.15 support level was confirmed, ADA has good momentum and long support to maintain the current upward trend. The biggest question is how bears will react at key resistance levels. It's best to be patient and wait for a clear response to prices around $0.23 before acting.

Looking to the future, Cardano has a chance to escape the downward trend of many years. In addition, this is the first time in months that price movements have turned positive. However, if bulls want to maintain their gains, they need to convert US$0.23 into support.

Binancin (BNB)

Binancin's trend was stable this week, similar to ETH but more moderate. On the positive side, prices appear to be holding firm above the $580 support level. However, the bulls did not push prices significantly higher, showing a lack of confidence.

Due to the absence of short positions, prices were forced to consolidate horizontally without giving a clear direction signal. It's best to stay on the sidelines until the direction of $580 support becomes clear.

Looking to the future, BNB has been fluctuating around US$600 since the beginning of the year, with no major breakthroughs. Although prices are still in a downward trend, the recent decline has slowed, which may suggest a reversal later this year.

Hyperliquid (HYPE)

HYPE closed up 3% this week after successfully testing $52 support. But this may only be a temporary rebound, and then bears will hit that key support again.

In higher time frames, Hyperliquid has lost its upward trend and prices continue to hit lower lows. This is a bearish signal. If bulls fail to recover $64 in the future (which is also an important resistance level), bears may push prices lower.

Looking to the future, the long and short battle will be decided at the US$52 support level. At present, this position is withstood the pressure of short positions, but if the short positions work again in late August, HYPE may hit a new low. Given the continued weakness in prices, caution is needed here.
