According to Shibburn data, a total of 10,684,707 SHIB tokens were permanently destroyed in the past 24 hours, and the daily destruction rate soared by 439.79%. This increase was three times the amount destroyed in the previous day, drawing market attention to changes in the momentum of the Shiba Inu coin ecosystem.

Weekly and Monthly SHIB Destruction Trends

According to Shibburn statistics, the total number of SHIB tokens destroyed in the past seven days reached 173.37 million. During the entire month, more than 3.36 billion pieces were destroyed, and the destruction rate soared by 2811.38%.

The Shibburn platform tracks the destruction of SHIB tokens by aggregating transaction data on the Ethereum network. Data shows that as of now, a total of 410,843,703,896,181 SHIBs have been removed from circulation through 21,502 transactions. The increase in destruction volume has attracted investors 'attention because it may affect the supply-demand balance of SHIB.

Small Dictionary: Shibburn is a community operation platform that monitors and publishes SHIB token destruction data by tracking blockchain transactions that send SHIB to unrecoverable addresses.

Despite the accelerated destruction rate, the market price of SHIB has fallen by 1.26% in the past 24 hours and has dropped by 7.38% this week. During the same period, most other cryptocurrencies recorded moderate gains.

Broader market dynamics

The overall cryptocurrency market rose slightly this week, influenced in part by U.S. political dynamics. The Senate decided not to vote on the Digital Asset Markets Clarity Act until it adjourns in August. The bill aims to eliminate regulatory uncertainty by clarifying which U.S. agency supervises which digital assets. It requires 60 votes to advance, but it has not yet received 50 votes.

Looking ahead, next week's U.S. jobs report and July inflation data may affect risky assets, including cryptocurrencies. The Federal Reserve left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 3.50% to 3.75% in July, but three policymakers voted in favor of raising rates. Strong employment data or persistently high inflation could strengthen the case for tightening monetary policy, putting further pressure on digital assets.

According to historical data, large-scale stablecoin outflows and shrinking market value often occur when cryptocurrency selling pressure is close to drying up rather than further intensifying.

Tether USDT market value declines

An indicator tracked by CryptoQuant shows that Tether's USDT market value has dropped significantly. The 60-day change in USDT's market value has dropped nearly $4 billion, one of the largest declines in history. Stable coins such as USDT are the main source of liquidity in the cryptocurrency space, allowing investors to quickly enter and exit digital assets.

Historically, a significant contraction in USDT's circulating supply is often seen as a signal of weakening selling activity. However, as the latest data comes out, analysts are watching closely whether this trend signals overall market stabilization or hints at increased volatility in the future.

Small Dictionary: CryptoQuant is an on-chain analytics company that provides data and insights on cryptocurrency exchange traffic, stablecoin movements and the health of blockchain networks.
