Equity Trust launches cryptocurrency IRA series with automated and autonomous trading options
Westlake, Ohio, August 12, 2026-Equity Trust Company Equity Trust Company, a leading financial services company with more than 50 years of experience, today announced the expansion of its cryptocurrency IRA products to provide retired investors with more ways to hold digital assets in tax-favored accounts. The expanded product line provides investors with two specialized ways to invest in cryptocurrencies through IRAs without a fee to open any account.
Automated Crypto IRA is an AI-driven algorithm solution backed by award-winning Animus Technologies that can be used by equity trust IRA customers with a minimum investment of US$25,000, compared with a minimum requirement of US$250,000 for after-tax and institutional investors. Animus uses proprietary algorithms to continuously evaluate market conditions and utilizes a predefined, rules-based investment model to automatically recommend and execute Bitcoin and Ethereum transactions. The Equity Crypto IRA is an autonomous trading account that provides hands-on investors with the flexibility to buy, sell and hold multiple cryptocurrencies.
