Ethereum Foundation researcher Tony Walstadt called for two proposals to be prioritized in Hegotá, the next major upgrade of the network, planned for 2027. This plan may allow privacy pools to pay their own transaction fees without relying on third-party intermediaries.

Walstadt posted on Platform X on Monday that the protocol architecture team hopes to promote EIP-8141 (frame transaction) and EIP-7805 (FOCIL, or Fork Option Mandatory Include List) into the Hegotá hard fork.
