Tom Lee also cited stablecoins as an example, pointing out that stablecoins require the underlying blockchain layer, and Ethereum is this foundation. He believes that the reasonable valuation range of Ethereum in the next few years should be between US$1 trillion and US$5 trillion.

Long-term drivers remain solid

Lee said investors have focused too much on Ethereum's recent price performance and ignored its broader fundamentals. He sees decentralization, institutional adoption and tokenization as the main long-term drivers of the network. He also pointed out that Wall Street's financial infrastructure could run on blockchain technology in the future, which supports Ethereum's long-term role in digital finance.

Lee linked these views to his previous outlook on Bitcoin. He has said that if Bitcoin's online value is comparable to gold, it could eventually reach $2 million. He also pointed out that despite the recent poor market performance, the investment logic of Bitcoin and Ethereum has not been broken.
