It is reported that Arthur Hayes, founder of BitMEX and a closely watched figure in the cryptocurrency market, continues to increase his holdings in Ethereum (ETH).

According to information shared by online data analysis platform Lookonchain, a wallet address believed to belong to Hayes purchased 1,293 Ethereum units about two hours ago. Based on current market prices, the transaction is worth approximately US$2.48 million.

According to Lookonchain's analysis, there are currently five different wallets believed to be associated with Arthur Hayes. The total balance of Ethereum in these addresses has reached 4,353 ETH. Based on current market prices, the total value of these assets is approximately $8.35 million.

Arthur Hayes is a well-known figure in the cryptocurrency field and is known for his past market analysis, especially his optimistic view of Ethereum. Recently, Hayes has made positive remarks about the long-term potential of Ethereum, believing that this digital asset has huge growth potential as institutions adopt it.

On-chain transactions by large investors have always been closely watched by market participants. In particular, large purchases are regarded by some investors as an important indicator of institutional or professional investors 'market expectations.

However, experts point out that the movements of large wallets alone do not provide a clear signal about the direction of prices, and these transactions may also serve different purposes such as portfolio management or wallet security.

Ethereum has continued to receive attention recently due to rising interest from institutional investors and the expansion of its use in decentralized finance (DeFi), tokenization and projects to transfer real-world assets to blockchain.
