The Bitcoin ETF absorbed US$107.8 million in its most recent institutional buying session, equivalent to nearly four days of new mining supply. Ethereum attracted US$53.83 million, while HYPE received US$2.13 million, and institutional demand remained concentrated on selected assets.
Institutional funds accelerate into Bitcoin
The transaction volume of the Bitcoin ETF is 1666 BTC, worth approximately US$107.8 million. This purchase amount is equivalent to the total amount of newly produced bitcoins in the past four days. This comparison shows how quickly institutional demand can absorb new available currencies. BlackRock contributed the largest proportion of Bitcoin purchases during this trading session, with its ETF purchasing approximately 1250 BTC units worth approximately US$80.82 million. Gray increased its holdings by 155 BTC, while Fidelity purchased 261 BTC. The distribution of the three major issuers provides broader support for buying activity during the trading session. Therefore, demand does not come from just a single fund or isolated institutional participants. These combined purchases demonstrate continued market interest in regulated Bitcoin exposure.
The latest seven-day capital flow chart provides an important background for this round of increased holdings. After experiencing a huge outflow in the previous period, the inflow reached approximately US$240 million on July 14. On July 15, the positive momentum continued, with another US$160.9 million entering ETF products.
Ethereum followed closely, showing strong second-level demand
The Ethereum ETF attracted approximately 27980 ETH during the most recent reporting period, with a total value of approximately US$53.83 million. This puts Ethereum firmly behind Bitcoin among the largest institutional beneficiaries. BlackRock has once again become the main buyer in Ethereum deals. Its ETFs have purchased approximately US$49.25 million worth of ETH, approximately 25600. Gray deposited approximately 2380 ETH pieces worth US$4.58 million.
Simultaneous purchases of Bitcoin and Ethereum indicate a high concentration of demand. Funding does not simply rotate between the two major crypto assets. Instead, institutions appear to have maintained exposure to both mature ETF markets.
Meanwhile, HYPE ETF recorded inflows of approximately US$2.13 million. This figure represents the purchase of approximately 31730 HYPE tokens. Although smaller than its main assets, HYPE stands out among some alternative assets.
Altcoin participation remains limited
Solana was the only major asset with a net outflow reported during the trading session. Its ETF recorded sales of approximately 9150 SOL, and the value of these withdrawals was approximately US$707,080. The remaining listed altcoins had no net ETF traffic during this period. XRP, LINK, BNB, AVAX, DOGE, DOT, HBAR and LTC all show zero activity. This distribution suggests that in the broader digital asset market, institutions have adopted selective position opening strategies.
Weekly charts also show that there is considerable volatility behind the recent recovery. Outflows reached approximately US$420 million on July 13. Two consecutive positive trading days followed, resulting in a sharp reversal of short-term capital flows. However, despite the recent strong buying momentum, the overall weekly picture remains mixed. Early withdrawals still partially offset recent inflows. Continued positive trading days will provide stronger evidence for crypto market institutions to continue to increase their holdings.
As a result, the July 15 data presents a constructive but selective institutional landscape. Bitcoin absorbed the largest share, while Ethereum captured a large number of secondary demand. HYPE attracted some small purchases, while most alternative assets remained inactive. The latest series of capital flows shows that demand has recovered after a large sell-off, but more trading days will be needed to confirm a lasting trend.
