BlackRock's cryptocurrency ETF inflows hit record highs
Global asset management giant BlackRock's cryptocurrency ETF inflows increased surprisingly in just five days, reflecting the market's enthusiasm for Bitcoin and Ethereum products. Between July 13 and 17, the company's three main funds-IBIT, ETHA and ETHB-attracted a total of $343.4 million in funding.
Bitcoin Trust unexpectedly rebounds
At first, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) suffered a large withdrawal of US$185.5 million on July 13, resulting in a net outflow of US$424.7 million on the day. However, the situation reversed in the following days and the fund welcomed considerable inflows. It is worth noting that the inflow was US$138.9 million on July 14, and another US$80.8 million the next day. This positive trend continued, with increases of $33.4 million and $136.5 million respectively over the next two days.
As of the end of the week, IBIT's total inflows reached US$389.6 million, ending with net positive investor activity of US$204.1 million. These transactions mean investors inject money into the fund by buying and selling ETF shares, prompting the trust to adjust its Bitcoin inventory to maintain liquidity. This pattern is also reflected in several other Bitcoin ETFs in the United States, which also recorded inflows in the final few trading days after a poor start.
How is the Ethereum ETF performing?
BlackRock's Ethereum-related products have significantly improved the performance of its cryptocurrency ETF sector, with ETHA leading the way. The fund had an inflow of $58.3 million on July 14 and $45.3 million on July 15. Meanwhile, ETHB, which provides ethereum exposure and pledge rewards to brokerage clients, increased by $4 million on July 15. As of July 17, ETHA has accumulated another US$31.7 million, totaling US$135.3 million in five days, with most of the funds flowing into ETHA on the last trading day.
Ethereum ETF Capital Inflow Highlights:
ETHA received US$135.3 million in five days.
ETHB contributed US$4 million on one day.
The two combined received US$139.3 million in capital inflows.
ETHA's cumulative capital inflows since its listing have reached approximately US$11.3 billion.
At the same time, BlackRock's assets under management hit a record high of US$15.3 trillion. In the second quarter alone, US$192 billion in net new assets were added, and the total inflow in the first half of 2026 reached US$321 billion. Although cryptocurrency ETFs make up a small proportion of BlackRock's vast asset portfolio, their steady growth suggests that investor interest in regulated digital asset instruments is growing.
